The location was perfect! The unit just needs a small face-lift. A good cleaning and a new paint job -- everywhere!. Plus, I would get rid of the wicker furniture -- it tends to get dirty/dusty faster. Otherwise, everything was great.
Beautiful wedding weekend
Overall experience was great. Convenient location for close by attractions. Condo was spacious and accommodated 8 people perfectly. Could use some extra TCL in bathrooms, on floors, and under beds.
Where is the upkeep?
After 3 years in a row in this unit, I doubt I'll rent it again. Things that I reported broken on my first visit remain broken. With so many other units being cared for, I don't see why I'd stay here again.
Thanks for the feedback. We'll make sure to go through everything to be sure there are no issues. We do hope to be able to assist again in the future. Thank you!
3 day beach vacation
Overall pleased. It was clean. More towels, trash bags, etc than expected. The step up/down was a little odd and hard for elderly parents to negotiate. The Island Inn staff was very nice. Great beach location with options to rent chairs, umbrellas, cabanas.
July 4th weekend
Took my parent and kids to Treasure Island for the weekend. The property was just as described if you read thru everything. We enjoyed our stay and did not lack anything. Dad has issues with the steps to each bathroom, but it was not something we did not know about. I had confirmed where the steps were before we went. I read quite a few reviews before renting and some were just a little crazy. I mean the firmness of the beds are a personal preference. While the king bed was nice a firm for us the 2 doubles were to soft for my liking, but my parents actually like them.
The kitchen had everything you can need to do light cooking. The toaster went on the blink and I texted Itrips and we had a new one by that evening (this was on the 4th of July). Great attention!. The only thing I would suggest is a cookie sheet or pizza pan. Hard to bake pizza without it. I had picked up from Publix toilet paper and bounty and we didn't even open it. I would check you supplies before ordering. Again kitchen was well stocked for cooking.
All in all great place and location. Very cute and would definitely would rent again!
Back where we belong
For the past 32 years my family has visited Treasure Island for our annual vacation. There have been only 3 years we've vacationed elsewhere, and of those 29 vacations spent at Treasure Island we've booked a room at Island Inn Beach Resort more than 20 times - not including extra trips throughout the year by some family members. We began renting the penthouse around 1997, and continued that until 2007. Since then we've booked suites several times. Last year we also rented through iTrip/Mainsail, but it was a 2 room suite. We were sorely disappointed with the room last year. This year made up for it! The 6 of us in our room, ranging in age from 8 to 87 years old, enjoyed this vacation more than we have in years. The facilities were clean, there was enough furniture to provide ample seating for all 6 of us plus 4 more in our party who rented room 413 (our other 2 stayed home this year), everyone had a bed, and we never had to wait in line for a bathroom. We brought along a Fire Stick, which allowed us to stream any media content we desired on the main television. Having a full kitchen meant we were able to save money by not eating out very often. Unfortunately the restaurants on Treasure Island have steadily declined in quality in recent years. My husband and I did enjoy Oya Sushi in Seminole, and the pizza at both Slyce and Tuttorosso are worth trying. The best thing about the penthouse is having the option to open the gulf side doors. My Mamaw has had many skin cancers and is supposed to avoid the sun. This is the perfect solution for her. I do have a few suggestions. In the walk in closet/storage area in the gulf view room please add a combination washer/dryer. We have rented houses with the stacked apartment size ones, and they are lifesavers. It cost $8 just to wash towels, and my mom was faint from the heat in the laundry room by the time she finished one load. Also there are several areas where the tiles on the floor are loose, which nearly caused us to fall. Please fix these and consider installing grab bars in the bathrooms and the step areas between bed/bath for those who need extra stability. The water dispenser in the fridge appeared to have red mold growing in it. I texted about the toaster not working and about needing lightbulbs for the vanity in the gulf view room and never received a response. Other than these things we had a wonderful vacation!
