Great Weekend Getaway
We stayed at Blue Bundaleer for 3 nights in July - a family of four with two older kids. Unfortunately it was a really cold weekend but we rugged up and enjoyed the water, taking the kayak out, fishing and having bbq dinners. The house has everything you need, had good heating and is comfortable. The neighbourhood is lovely and quiet. If you love wildlife, this is a great place. Kangaroos wander into the yard in the afternoons and we were lucky enough to see a little joey. Black swans and pelicans swim past. It’s a short drive to Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest where we had yummy fish and chips which we took to the beach. Dale’s communication was great and he checked in to make sure we were settled and had everything we needed. Highly recommended, we had a great weekend.
Lovely family holiday
Our family loved our week away enjoying the view while relaxing on the veranda watching the dolphins go pass. Everyone loved the kayaks supplied they were so much fun.The house is great for a big family, plenty of space for everyone. I would recommend it to everyone. Dale was very helpful.
My family are return guests at the Blue Bundeleer. What an amazing, relaxing destination
My family are return guests at the Blue Bundeleer.
If you are in search of a water front, family oriented, fully self contained destination, close to Sydney, then look no further.
The Blue Bundeleer boasts great living, cooking and sleeping areas. Add to this a verandah that captures the water front view of Nelson Bay. Incredible fishing opportunities, oysters and fresh crabs just waiting to be caught.
Dale is by far the most considerate host we have dealt with.
For me it is just great to unwind and spend time with my growing family.
The Blue Bundeleer is a big thumbs up
Peaceful and relaxing for the whole family
Booking this property was easy and effortless, the communication with Dale was great prior to our arrival.
The property was lovely, and catered to our large family extremely well. From the moment we arrived it felt like a second home, there was a beautiful little welcome pack with some essentials which was lovely.
Prior to our arrival I placed an online order for pick up at Coles in Tea Gardens this made it easy to collect the keys & groceries, later in the week I placed an online order from Woolworths for delivery (including beer) then when we arrived at the property there was no reason to leave. There is plenty of cooking utensils, trays, plates, cups etc. The fridge was large enough to hold everything we needed and a mini fridge out on the patio near the bbq was great for drinks. The bedrooms suited us fine with plenty of cupboard & draw space so we could unpack rather than live out of the suitcase.
We brought our boat, you can only launch at high tide from the property otherwise it was not far to Tea Gardens to launch from there, we were happy with a few feeds of fresh fish & crabs, my husband was also extremely happy to eat fresh oysters from the old oyster lease out the front on low tide.
Our younger children really enjoyed the tree house directly in front of the property and I enjoyed my morning coffee watching them play at 6:30 in the mornings, it was so wonderful that they were excited to be outside that early rather than being on their iPads. All the kids spent a lot of time playing in the tree house, they even got the hammocks and hung the in the trees in the tree house. Just wonderful!
The older kids enjoyed the kayaks & taking their younger siblings for a paddle and they all enjoyed the odd sea weed fight, we loved watching them & laughing a lot. Lol...
Every morning we had kangaroos either in the yard or on the beach at low tide out the front, they were lovely to watch.
We all had a wonderful time here, it very much suited our family we had a few cold, rainy, windy days but this didn’t stop our family from enjoying the property and making beautiful family memories.
