A beautiful cottage in a studding location.
Although the cottage's location, at the top of a hill, surrounded by ancient ruins and overlooking breathtaking panoramas, has many positives, anyone considering staying here should firstly be physically fit, as the walk up is steep; and if hiring a car, should get a small one as the drive up is a bumper scraping, narrow, and winding adventure, not to be undertaken by the faint-hearted.
That aside, we loved it! We wanted the feeling of "Spain", the place and its people, and this is exactly what we got. Although the village is a popular tourist destination, it is a secret that the Spanish seem to be keeping to themselves.
The cottage is beautifully decorated with a mixture of traditional and modern elements, which creates a feeling of calm relaxation. The cottage is fully equipped with all you need for a prolonged stay; we were there for 9 days, and it very quickly felt like home.
We would recommend this as a super cottage for those wanting to explore and to imerse themselves in the charm of rural Spain.
PS, you must call in to the Place de la Font and visit Rafael Galingo's Pastissaria and Cafe at the bottom of the hill.
