Great apartment in good location!
My husband and I have just returned from a couple of weeks' stay in this apartment and were very pleased with it. The property was as described and we found everything that we needed was included. The beds were great and the bed linen and towels were of a very good quality. The kitchen and equipment was good and there was a washing machine if you need to wash your clothes. Good TV with UK channels available. The sea and country view from the balcony was amazing and there were 3 birds of prey that spent a lot of time perched on an old tree right opposite the patio doors and they would keep us entertained us for hours with their swooping and searching for food! One day we had a huge herd of goats pass by and spend the afternoon grazing down below the apartment (outside the complex fence though!) The apartment had private parking space downstairs in the communal garage, so it was easy to come back from the beach or the shops, park the car and just ride up in the lift to the apartment. The beach close to the apartment was great and there was a lovely little chiringuito with clean toilets, serving food and drinks and some sunbeds that were free of charge. The beaches along the coast were all as pristine and well cared-for and were mainly empty of people, so perfect for quiet beach days. Gibraltar is only 35 minutes' drive away and easy to get to, as are so many towns that are great to visit. Estepona's old town is definitely worth a visit and offers lots of lovely restaurants as well as a fantastic beach. The port of La Duquesa was very close and we did eat there one night but found that it was just another port full of British ex-pat boat-owners and pricey restaurants. We preferred to go to Las Sabinillas, which we found offered good restaurants with more local atmosphere. There was a great little fish and chip restaurant/take-away called "Marlows" located nearby, next to the Eroski supermarket, that we did eat in a few times. As well as the usual "proper" fish and chip dinners, they did excellent Sunday roasts at a good price. A little closer to the apartment, there was a brilliant Argentinian steak house called "El Estribo" . Quite expensive but with fabulous steaks and excellent wines! All in all, we had a great trip!
The property was as described online. It was clean and tidy and we didn’t have any problems at all. It is within walking distance to the beach and also if you prefer the swimming was really close and a good size.
The only slight negative we had and it wasn’t anything to do with the apartment was that the swimming pool didn’t open until around midday. This was because they had to have a lifeguard on duty which is totally understandable for safety but not ideal if you want a morning swim.
We would definitely use the apartment again if we travel to that area again. 👍
Family summer holiday
My family stayed at Nigel's place for one week in July. Communication was very good from the whole time, Nigel and the on site contact Chris were very friendly and helpful. The apartment was located in a very nice and secure compound, beautiful and well-kept gardens and pool and convinient garage. We really loved the pool area, never too busy and always free sun beds. Clean and good size pool where our 8 and 9 year old daughters spent hours and hours. The apartment itself was good size for a family of 4 and had everything we needed. I really loved the huge balcony and the views! There is a mini market very close with surprisingly good selection. The beach is close by as well (about 5min. walk from apartment). You can take a nice walk there with mountain views and you have several beach bars to select from. Beach walk or short drive to Playa de la Duquesa is something to recommend, also visit to beautiful Estepona. Our family had the perfect holiday here!

Lovely clean apartment and plenty of equipment to self cater.The gardens are kept very tidy and a pleasure to sit in. The owner and onsite manager were both really helpful and communication prior to going and whilst there was great.
We have just returned from the apartment and had a fantastic time there.
The gardens and swimming pools are beautiful. The complex is gated so it is very private, and the apartment overlooks the sea and hillside, and the balcony is so relaxing and peaceful.
There is a small shop literally 2 mins walk away, for essentials, and a fantastic walk into the marina with beach bars along the way.
The apartment was immaculate. A lot of time and effort must go into maintaining this, as it didn’t have the usual “well used” look of other places we have stayed at.
Nigel was extremely helpful and supplied all the details and any help that we needed. Overall we had a brilliant time there. It’s a great area with plenty to do. Would love to return again.
Costa / playa:
A 5 minutos a pie de la playa de arena más cercana, y nuestro apartamento tiene vista al mar y a la ladera. Completamente privado y no se pasa por alto en absoluto.
El aeropuerto de Málaga está a 65 millas de distancia, y el aeropuerto de Gibraltar está a 15 millas. Es un viaje realmente fácil a lo largo de la autopista de peaje A7 o AP7, ambas paralelas a la costa. Calculo 55 minutos en coche desde Málaga y alrededor de media hora desde el aeropuerto de Gibraltar.
La ubicación proporciona un acceso perfecto a las siguientes áreas de interés: -
La Duquesa Marina, a 5 minutos en coche como máximo, a 40 minutos a pie de la playa.
Marbella y Puerto Banús a 30 minutos en coche.
Sotogrande 15 minutos, Gibraltar 30 minutos.
Preciosa ciudad virgen de Mijas, con los burros, a una hora.
Para un día más largo hay la maravillosa ciudad histórica de Sevilla, a 2 horas en coche, Granada y el maravilloso Palacio de la Alhambra a 3 horas en coche.
Dé un paseo por la playa hacia La Duquesa Marina, deteniéndose en un bar de playa literalmente cada 5 minutos en el camino. Esta es una pequeña ciudad maravillosa, llena de restaurantes de todas las nacionalidades, bares encantadores y áreas de café. Pequeños puestos alrededor de la zona del puerto deportivo en temporada alta. He visitado todos los resorts en esta costa y realmente puedo decir que La Duquesa es la mejor de todas. Justo al lado está Sabinillas, una ciudad más española, con fantásticos restaurantes a lo largo del paseo marítimo. Bancos y supermercados aquí también.
Hay un supermercado a un minuto en coche, otro a 5 minutos en coche, y un enorme hipermercado Carreffour a solo 15 minutos por la carretera en Estepona.
Ilimitado confiable rápido privado a Internet / Wifi disponible en nuestro apartamento. No compartido. Vinculado a la televisión para acceder a todos los canales de televisión del Reino Unido. Tenga en cuenta que esto es raro en un apartamento de vacaciones debido a que los satélites se desarmaron en febrero de este año. Se solicita un pequeño cargo para que pueda seguir suscribiéndome a este servicio y proporcionar la instalación. Esto se puede configurar a su llegada.
