Everything was wonderful during my stay in Burlingame while I visited my daughter, son in law, and three adult grandsons who live in San Mateo. I loved the quiet neighborhood with such pretty, vintage homes. The grove of redwood trees and lovely garden right outside the door of my unit were so peaceful and private. As an octogenarian walking with a cane because of an ankle injury, I found the well-lit path and 2 steps to my own entrance very safe and secure. The well equipped small apartment with private bath and good heating was perfect with a queen bed, a couch, a desk, comfortable chair, TV, videos, sets of drawers, plenty of side tables, and a roomy closet along with a luggage rack for the room. The lighting was superb, even brighter and better than that in my bedrooms at home. Each night I enjoyed coming back to my own space and a retreat until morning, when I was welcome to come upstairs for a home cooked, delicious breakfast prepared by James and his wife Candice. I also had a hot beverage available in my unit at anytime I wished. I was very blessed with this wonderful retreat when deciding to travel at the last minute. In the future I plan to book this room early whenever I travel north to visit my family.
