he couple Román Batlle and Enriqueta Rodríguez Salacín entrusted the architect Salvador Comas and the builder Pedro Pareras with the building of this magnificient art deco villa, which was called “Villa Enriqueta” by its owners and used as a summer residence.
Later “Villa Enriqueta” was owned by Eduardo Moret Abelló and Teresa Ros Riera, who designed and developed the botanical garden and changed the name of the house to “Torre Edelweiss”.
In 1971 the property was purchased by the Dutch couple Adrianus Wilhenlmus Wender-Put, naturist and writer and Rosalía Bergara.
In 1988 the property was sold to the brothers Montferrer-Salomon and finally, in 1991, to its present owners, Antonio Gazo Fuster and Francesca Comas Boluda, who totally restored the house between 1992 and 1996 making it their family residence.
The house “Torre Edelweiss” has been considered as an item of local architectural heritage and some of its elements as artistic heritage.
