Great Location, Great condo
You can't beat the location for the price. A short walk to Sapphire Beach and a little bar. The pool was closed when I was there, but looks really nice! The owners were absolutely fantastic with all communication prior to and during my staff. I will be back!
Perfect Couples Getaway!
Another wonderful stay! We have stayed in this unit for our anniversary the last two years and we absolutely love it. This year the owner has updated the unit with a new very comfortable bed and blackout curtains. The unit was very clean when we arrived, owner responded to messages very quickly, and the unit was equipped with everything we needed for a weeks stay. We enjoyed snorkeling and hanging out at Sapphire Beach, swimming in the pools on property, gorgeous sunrises from the balcony, and sunset views from Pretty Klip Point! We really like how convenient and close this property is to the Red Hook ferry so we can day trip over to St. John. Can't say enough nice things about this unit, it really is perfect for a romantic getaway vacation. We can't wait to visit again next year!
Great location out east
Sapphire beach is great!
Can't beat the location. Short walk to sapphire beach where you can snorkel right off the beach. Close to Redbook where you can take the ferry to St. John.
Condo had plenty of pots, pans, & cooking utensils. However, there was no dish washing soap, half roll of paper towels & no toilet tissue.
The bed was uncomfortable as you can fill the coil springs. We prefer pillow top mattresses. Also, the sheets need to be replaced as they had "pills" (little bumpy knots from wear).
The above issues have been taken care of. We have a new cleaning service who keeps those items stocked and fresh for new guests. We have replaced the linens, we do this at least twice a year as the industrial washers are brutal on bed sheets. There is a brand new Sealy Memory foam mattress (July 2019.)
This was the perfect place to extend our stay by four days after sailing around the islands!
My husband and I wanted a place that wasn’t downtown and where we could walk to the beach. Sapphire Village was a great choice! Our condo was ready and clean when we arrived, the kitchen somewhat stocked, meaning rum others had left, but no coffee, also a necessity for us! In Red Hook is a grocery store; keep in mind there’s no place on site to purchase provisions. It’s an easy $1.00 pp less than ten minute ride on the safari (small buses at the entrance you hail; they have no schedule) to Red Hook, but after dark take a taxi back ($4.00 pp I think). We had a delicious meal at XO Bistro (finer dining), but Duffy’s Love Shack would be good if you’re looking for an authentic food/casual outdoor bar atmosphere. Red Hook is where you can take the hourly ferry to St John. Another longer safari ride for $2.00 pp took us to Charlotte Amalie (or wherever you want to go on the main roads, just ask the driver first, they go in one direction around the island). To go to Magens Bay though, we called a taxi (340-774-7457) and paid $10.00 pp. He stopped at Drakes Seat to show us the view from the top (less touristy than Mountain Top). You really want to experience this top ten beach in the world that’s a mile long! Sapphire Beach, a five minute walk down a gradual hill from the condo past the marina, is also not to be missed! We appreciated having the snorkeling equipment left in the closet and the mini cooler. We opted not to carry the chairs with us. Be sure to try snorkeling off this beach for it’s quite good and you don’t have to go out that far in places. There is a beach bar that also has food, hamburgers, etc. It closes around 6:00. Live music on the weekends. A runner can bring you drinks on the beach-luxury! On weekdays they serve breakfast. We ate three very good dinners, plus Sat. and Sun. brunch at Slice VI (right by the pool on site) since we really wanted to relax and not always have to leave the compound. They have a bar and live music on the weekends too. The owners are there all the time and the servers are nice; everyone is, and we met a fun couple from the States and had dinners with them. Find the office before 4:30 on Friday if you want to borrow books, videos, get laundry tokens, or mail something. They close for the weekend. The condo was spacious, with fresh sheets and towels (including two beach ones). Please don’t disturb the morning dove family on the balcony as you enjoy the awesome view. We really didn’t want to leave!
Beautiful views from the private deck
A perfect place to spend your entire first full day and rest from the trip down here. You can lounge on Sapphire beach (2 minute walk), snorkel (looking at the ocean go along the right all the way to the rocks at the end where the coral is better and more fish), and eat at the 2 restaurants. When the wind picks up it gets choppy so head over to Magens Bay where its more protected from the wind. Embarrassed to say I didnt realize there was a light in the sink room for several days; its the white horizontal switch built into the electrical outlet panel to the left of the sink.
