Clean, nice, and we would stay there again knowing the property, but there were some discrepancies from the website. Described as a one bedroom apartment with a kitchen, deck/patio, dining area. I expected there to be a bedroom, a living/dining area, a bathroom and a kitchen. It was not. At the most I would decribe it as a studio apartment. There was a room with a queen bed in it, a chair, and an L shaped couch. There was a bathroom with a tiny shower (which I understand is typical in Italy) and there was what I would have called a kitchenette and not a kitchen. The kitchen was described as having a stove and oven. It had a 2 burner stove top but there was no oven of any kind (microwave, toaster or traditional oven). There was no dining area. There was a utility table pushed against the wall with a shelf under it that had some kitchen utensils and dishes on it. There were two chairs in the kitchenette but you couldn't pull them under the table because of the shelf and room space. The description also described that the property had a washer AND dryer which is the primary reason we chose the property. It was the only property that had air conditioning, a queen size bed and a washer and dryer. We noted no washer/dryer in the room when we arrived. When we asked we were told we could use one on the property (they did linens with it). Washer was in one room off the courtyard, 2 dryers in another. The host couldn't find a time convenient for us so he said he'd do our laundry. He washed it and hung it on a rack left in the courtyard to dry. After several hours we asked to use the dryer and he said , "you're in Sicily, there are no dryers". We had to bring the rack inside the room to get it to dry (it took 2 days it was so humid). The host tried to make it right by doing our laundry but shouldn't have said there was a washer and dryer when it was a not really intended for guest and they don't let you use the dryer. The garden/courtyard is not private. It's shared by all the apartments and there is no deck/patio. If you have a second floor apartment, you have a balcony and we were on the first floor. They served a wonderful continenal breakfast each morning in the courtyard (which was not mentioned). The host Jonhatan and his wife Marcella were super nice and we had fun trying to communicate because our Italian is almost non-existant and thier English is not fluent (we used an app translater). We enjoyed our stay but it was not quite as described.
