Location was close to ever we needed. Perfect set up for our trip.

We appreciated that the space was very clean and comfortable. It was also located in a great part of town near stores and restaurants. Kai is friendly and gave us many tips of places to visit and eat. Thanks for a great stay! We would love to return if we visit Chicago again in the future.
Chicago im Quartier und schnell mittendrin
Sehr schöne ansprechende Wohnung, komfortabel und auch gut für 2 Paare geeignet. Für Leute, die gerne selbst kochen, ist Einkaufen etwas schwierig, aber machbar. Mit dem Bus sind zwei Einkaufszentren gut erreichbar. Zu Fuss gibt's zur Zeit auf der S Western Ave Richtung Metra einen winzigen Supermarket.

Comfortable beds, well equipped, quiet, and clean. This was a great place quiet street, a Lyft ride away from everything. The owners were quick to answer questions. Thanks foe sharing this great place with us.
Locked out our last night w/o a way to enter, no communication and then a verbally insulting owner.
We were locked out of the apartment our last night when we returned from our conference closing party at 12:30a. We were told in case of an emergency there were keys in the lock box. However, those keys did not unlock the apartment door only to the gate and the main entrance of the building. We attempted to contact the owner multiple times through the number provided as well as text messages. After waiting two hours from the first call without any response we called the police to assist us. They were not able to help us and recommended calling a lock service. We hadn't chosen to call the lock service in the beginning because we weren't sure we could not as the property owners. The locksmith didn't arrive until 4:30 and then took another 30 minutes before we finally could access the apartment Because we had to leave by 8am, we slept for only two hours, gather our belongings and then drove a grueling, 6.5 sleep deprived hours back home.
It wasn't until 9am when the owner called us back. Immediately she was angry at us for leaving so many messages in the middle of the night and disrupting the apartment on the main level. (I'm incredibly sorry those tenants was woke-up by us walking up and down the stairs waiting for a response for hours. It is unfortunate they had to be impacted by the owners non-responsiveness as well. ) I was completely taken back by the owner's accusations and lack of empathy for the terrible night we went through. As I tried to explain how we were locked out and why the keys in the lockbox didn't provide us assistance she talked over me with accusation and blame.
If you are going to run a business through VRBO you need to have a caretaker available to answer calls 24/7 or in our case at least the appropriate keys available to access the unit in case of a lockout.
Our entire experience being locked out could have been soothed with a sliver of compassion but instead, we were spat at.
An apology and a refund of my last night's reservation that we were not able to access the unit would have gone a long way. Neither of those things happened, so I feel it is only fair to warn travelers of the terrible experience we went through and how poorly it was handled by the owner.
