The room and grounds were not as described. Failed to mention it was destroyed several years ago from hurricane and amenities still closed. We started to itch from what we think is mold. Paint can left in the room. My guess painting over the mold. The heat/air conditioning did not work and would start and then shut off, this was very loud. Their solution was to bring us a small electric heater to plug in. What a joke. Words cannot describe the filth on the grounds with pigeon and racoon poop everywhere. We have pictures of all. Our welcome letter stated access to the grounds, pools, restaurant. All these were covered in poop that has not been cleaned from what I could tell for years. Stairwells, two elevators were unusable/inoperable. Trash cans full, looks as if they have never been emptied. Bathrooms disgusting and unclean. Took pictures of the restaurant with food laying all over the counters. No employees seem to care. Standing in the lobby other people were leaving and getting refunds. We booked with an owner, he never returned calls. Only the booking would who tried to help. We communicated our complaints with no resolution. We booked three weeks and left after one day. We are very meticulous in planning. He said they had a disclaimer. If he did it should have been on the front page. Who books a resort and pays just to leave. Will seek regress from state agencies.
