This was the second visit we've made to this wonderful property.
Messages to Mike always are answered promptly. When he was leaving for an international trip, he sent us contact information for a neighbor.
This year the installation of the backup generator was complete. There was a day with high winds during our visit. The power stayed on, but Mike sent simple instructions in advance of the storm about the generator's operation.
The kitchen is well stocked. As tea and pour-over coffee fans, we were happy to see the electric kettle and Melitta drip-cone and filters.
The wood stove kept us warm at night. Plenty of split wood is available.
The Internet speed will not support streaming, but our HDMI to USB-C adapter allowed us to watch content we had downloaded on an iPad. Cable TV and a large selection of CDs are available.
The large windows along the great room frame a good view of Plumper Sound. There is a long covered deck with seating. Binoculars are provided, along with games, puzzles, books, and pamphlets about the island.
One of the trailheads to climb Pender's highest point, Mt. Norman, is literally next door to the property. We also enjoyed hiking the Enchanted Forest Park trail and the Brooks and Gowlland Points area while picking wild blackberries along the boardwalk.
The house needed a bit more dusting and the refrigerator required a wipe down.
You will enjoy a stay at this house in South Pender Island!
