Lovely villa with lots of space and a great pool
Let me start by saying my family and I have had an amazing 2 weeks at the villa and in Estapona.
The villa is very spacious and has everything you would need for a family holiday, including toys, towels, balls, sun hats, condiments, board games and all the usual stuff. Location is great but you really do need to hire a car as it’s quite high up and not in walking distance to anywhere really. Pool is great, really big and deep, there’s no shallow end though so no good for little ones or non swimmers. The villa itself is a very spacious with 3 good sized rooms downstairs and a massive one upstairs along with the living room and kitchen, there is also a study with loads of books and a laptop to use.
The cleanliness of the villa is OK, however, we did feel that it could do with a proper clean, a thorough one. Especially the bathrooms and kitchen.
Ok there is a but and it’s quite a big one......,,
We arrived at 1 in the morning after a long day travelling and when we got into the villa there were no lights no electricity, nothing! We were in darkness for about 45 minutes until we finally found the trip box and messed with all the switches until we had light. The number we were given to call in case of a problem wasn’t answering. The problem with having no lights or electricity was not just that we couldn’t see and that we were all very tired after travelling AND there are VERY steep marble stairs quite close to the front door that any one of us could of fallen down and had a potentially fatal accident!
The next day we did get in contact with someone and they came round to the villa.
During our holiday the electrics/lights/air con and tv went off several times and we had quite a lot of intrusion from people trying to fix the problem.
I don’t want this to be a negative review as we had a great holiday, but this does need to be said.
We were told by the owner that we would be receiving a compensation gesture but this didn’t happen.
We were told we could stay a little later in our check out day due to another electricity cut out the night before we were leaving, meaning we couldn’t pack etc, however, the owner decided to withdraw the compensation due to the fact that we didn’t check out on time, even though he told us we could have a couple of extra hours.
Would we go back to the villa....probably not.
A lovely villa with panoramic views, close to a little beach that we walked to for a swim most evenings. Very good support and communication from the owner and housekeeper. We were a three generation party of eleven and had a wonderful holiday!
Thank you so much it was a pleasure to have your family and you’d be welcome anytime.
Great time at Villa Karma
We are a family of 9 adults 3 children ages 75 to 2 and a half the Villa was ideal lovely swimming pool which was in use all day and night .The views from the terrace were amazing the kitchen was well equipped with plenty of appliances the bedrooms were good. Well equipped lounge with TV and music on tap .There was a beach bar Bahia 20 min walk away downhill .Would not hesitate to go back Trevor and Jennie were very helpful also you must have the paella that Jennie makes excellent food and price. Also try the go carting just past Estepona the boys loved it. Alan Hall
Spacious villa, excellent communication, great location.
Sometimes the pictures of villas can be a little flattering however in this case they didn't do it justice, the place was palatial. Every room was bright and airy, a terrace for every time of day and located in a very peaceful area. The driveway allowed us to keep the rental car off of the road and communication by Trevor and his housekeeper Jenifer was excellent. Our flight was delayed and they allowed us to stay on past our book out time which was very kind. Some others have said you need a car to leave the estate, this is no true. At the bottom of the hill to the west of the estate is a foot bridge that takes you all the way to the Port Dequesa. There is a supermarket very close by and a larger Carrefour up the road. We will no doubt be returning :)
Thank you so much David I’m delighted you had a great stay. You’re obviously more energetic than me, I can easily roll down the hill but it’s a hell of a stagger back up particularly after a glass or two of the local grape juice 😂
