We had a wonderful week in Captiva! Beautiful home, great property, wish we could have stayed longer!
We had a great week! Absolutely love the new fence that lets you see the water from the pool - brilliant change!! The added sand is awesome. We saw manatees and dolphins in the channel, a sea otter swam up to the beach one day too! Also a couple of iguanas the first day, you might want to put traps out for those. Everything was great and we will be back again.
We loved every minute staying in this beautiful property. From the beautiful house, pool, fishing pier and neighborhood, we enjoyed every bit of it. The location is very versatile when it came to the choice of swimming, beach walking, fishing or just chatting on the decks. It was perfect for our special visit.
Amazing Stay on Captiva, Island
I have been to this home before and it was amazing and with nice upgrades done keeping the home current. The property has an on island manager / caretaker named Paul that was totally awesome and if we needed anything he immediately took care of us answering questions etc.
This home is set to accommodate 2 families easily. My son and his wife and 2 children had their own floor downstairs, I had the second floor bedroom and my oldest son had the other and my mom the Matriarch of our family had the master bedroom!.Balcony views of the Roosevelt channel and a short walk across the street to the Gulf.
If you love to fish as we do you can fish right off the dock and nice dock for your boat if you have one. blind pass which is less than a mile away is amazing fishing and I would recommend getting a fishing guide for at least a half day trip, they also do shelling and sightseeing excursions.
Once you go here you will never want to leave! The owner is super attentive to all the details and needs making sure everything is perfect for your arrival.
Thank You Tom and Paul for an amazing vacation experience at my favorite place in the world Captiva Island!

A Lovely Week on Captiva
Our family of 7 had a wonderful week at Manatee Cove. There was PLENTY of beach chairs/umbrellas/toys for us to use, which is a huge plus for us to not have to bring ourselves! The beach is a short 5 minute or so walk down a lovely footpath across the street. We practically had the beach to ourselves. The floor plan of the house worked out perfectly and offered “space” for those who wanted to do their own thing. We felt the kitchen was well equipped with all the necessities for cooking meals. The kitchenette on the lower level came in handy for stocking up extras for the week. It was great to have the extra refrigerator/freezer space. The pool and patio area are wonderful and we utilized it almost every day! We rented a boat for the week out of Cape Coral and the dock space at Manatee Cove worked perfectly. It was a short boat ride up to restaurants on Captiva, up to Cayo Costa for shelling and even lunch on Cabbage Key. Getting to watch manatees and dolphins swim by the dock was amazing. We would definitely recommend this property!
Manatee Cove is the perfect location
Nine of us stayed at Manatee Cove last week and enjoyed it immensely. Our 16-year old grandson fished off the dock almost the entire time. Caught numerous large red fish and catfish. Our whole family enjoyed the large pool. My husband and I particularly enjoyed the beach and the beautiful sunsets. We liked the Blue Giraffe restaurant the best of those we tried, although Doc Ford was very good as well. Our guys rented kayaks for 1/2 day , and the whole group rented a pontoon for 1/2 day. Everyone we encountered on the island was very friendly and helpful. The highlight was a mother dolphin and her baby swimming just by us when we were in the gulf just chest deep, followed by a manatee a few minutes later. The only drawbacks were the no seeum bugs and the toaster and hair dryer did not work (but we did not discover this until the late in the week, so we didn't bother to alert the property manager). There was a issue with the A/C in the master suite early in the week, but the property manager had it fixed asap. The kitchen was supplied with all we needed, and there were sufficient bathroom and beach towels.
