My husband and I were very disappointed and frustrated with the communication about apartment location and check-in process. In all our previous experiences the process was clearly spelled out, but this property owner would not provide the info even after I reached out to her multiple times. Her email responses kept indicating she would provide info, but she didn’t. I sent a final request for info less than 24 hours before our arrival and still her response was you will get the info when you need it. We finally had to call her when we arrived in Bolzano and she kept insisting rudely that we had the info, which we didn’t. We found her rude and even insulting. She had asked me to water her flowers, which I agreed to do. A few days into our stay she emailed me accusing me of not keeping my promise to water the flowers and said she’d have to remove them if they were not appreciated.
The studio apartment is lovely, but you must unlock and walk through an unfinished attic area before reaching it. It would have been helpful to know this since it is quite a surprise. Also, the bed is next to a sloped wall that made it necessary for one of us to sleep on the couch.
The terrace is fantastic…best part of the property. The owner provided guest cards that were very useful in getting into museums and using the cable cars free of charge. She left a bottle of wine for us in the refrigerator. However, the poor communication from the owner diminished what otherwise would have been a wonderful visit. We would not stay here again or recommend anyone else to stay here.
