Mint stay. Warm fire and relaxing spa. Great after a days riding. Thanks.
We had a great stay, the cottage had everything we needed, the spa was a winner after a long days ride.
I'd recommend this place if you were looking for a quiet place to stay in Mangakino. Thanks for sharing it. Dave + Eva
My friends and I had a very good stay. The place was clean and quiet, the spa pool worked well and it was a short walk away from Waikato walks. Thank you and would definitely stay again
Comfortable and warm kiwi bach

Good as ever
Always a good place to stay - have been doing it for over 10 years and I'm never dissappointed. Dave + Michelle
Fantastic facilities for our 16th family reunion
Five couples of our family meet every year . We are all in our 70s and take turns to organise the venue, food, and accommodation . Because I wanted to show them the Pureora Forest we chose The Rose Cottage as a central point. We were fortunate to catch up with the owners Kim and Dan beforehand and they were happy for our 5th couple to park their campervan on the lawn. Our first stop was Daphne's Museum. She does a great job. Followed by a trip towards Tokoroa overlooking Mangakino and showing all the Dairy Conversion from Forestry as 3 of our couples were dairy farmers. We did a trip to friends farm at Arapuni , including the fabulous Arapuni swingbridge, and a look at Bulmer's Landing and Arapuni Landing (lovely Camping spots). We called into Arohena Campground (huge camping area) on the way back . Our trip to Pureora was right up with expectations. Pa Harakeke was well worth a visit . The totara Walk (20 mins) was the best bush we have ever seen. We had a picnic lunch in the sheltered campground . Also loved the Forest Tower, steam hauler and vintage crawler tractor. One day we drove around Whakamaru Dam and Village Heritage trail and what could be better than sharing pizzas at the Bus Stop Cafe at the Reserve. We were so busy we didn't have time for a spa, but loved having meals on the deck. We were surprised at the amount of room for 10 of us, Kim and Dan were most helpful especially when we left our charger! Thank you for a wonderful holiday.
