Este condominio cuenta con un marco sin igual y puntos de vista. Hay sólo unos pocos condominios tan cerca del agua como éste. condo was great, red tide not so much
The condo was excellent. The kitchen was well-furnished, the bed and furniture were extremely comfortable, and the whole unit was well-appointed. We love being on the beach and watching the waves. The owner was also very helpful when we had questions prior to our week.
Had a great time in Sanibel; this condo was fantastic. The unit was clean, spacious, tastefully decorated, and came with everything we needed for the beach and lots more. I'd definitely come back and stay here again. Thanks so much.
This unit has a fantastic view and is just steps from the gulf. The unit is stocked with all needed furniture and cooking utensils. The community offers extras for relaxing and playing.
My family spent a week in this beautiful condo in August 2017. The view is spectacular, the grounds of the complex were clean, the pool was clean, there are kids club activities, the beach is just right outside your door. There are 2 large bedrooms and a den with fold out couch, so I would say 3 bedrooms. The master has a king bed and huge bathroom/ dressing room. The 2nd bedroom has two twin beds and a full. All of the linens were clean, there is a fully stocked kitchen and a large dining table for meals. The owner was helpful with island suggestions. I would recommend the condo to a friend!

Seashells are not the only great thing to find in Sanibel
You also need a great place to stay. Here's what you need to know: 1. You cannot be closer to the water, in Pointe de Santo or anywhere else on Sanibel. 2. The unit is well maintained, extremely clean, and you can tell the family that owns it takes great care of it 3. You will love the complex (pool, etc.) and proximity to everything (grocery, restaurants, nature). 4. Be prepared to relax and have days where your toughest decisions are: Beach first or pool first?
Everything in the rental description of the property is 100% accurate. I will amplify a few important points: This is a corner unit. It's bigger than most, having 2 full bedrooms (one with 3 beds), plus an entire den and family room. Because it is a corner unit, you can slip your shoes off when you come into the big entry way, with room for your bags or other stuff. The unit has beach towels, chairs, etc. The Wifi in the complex is sufficient for your kids to stream shows on their devices.
I corresponded with the owner before renting and found her very helpful and genuine. The rental company was efficient and polite (they're one of the major ones with an office right on Periwinkle, the main drag).
If you are reading this I assume you are already a Sanibel fan. What we love is you can adjust your visit to suit your needs: either relax on the property or get out and do plenty (beaches, boating, fishing, shopping, Ft Meyers is a wonderful city for day trips, nature preserves, Thomas Edison museum, minor league baseball games, Captiva, etc.). The logistics into Ft. Meyers and Sanibel are smooth.

Unit is as shown, but not a good experience with rental management company or owner
The unit looks exactly as it is pictured and described above. Pointe Santo is a family friendly place with an interesting beach and adequate pool. *Note: Bring beach shoes because the beach can be shell-y at places.
Instead of a security deposit, renters must purchase an incidental damages policy.
The main reason for my rating is our experience with the rental company (VIP) and owner when we returned home. Two days before our departure we made the unfortunate discovery that our children had lice. We informed VIP to ensure that the place was cleaned thoroughly before the incoming guests. We had our children treated at a professional lice salon, vacuumed the place thoroughly and washed the sheets. About a week after our return, I received an invoice from VIP (copying the owner) stating that I owed $963 for lice related damages. When I responded that I was surprised by the invoice and asked for contractual evidence of my responsibility, I received emails from VIP and the owner telling me I was morally obligated to pay the damages. VIP told me the damages were not covered by the incidental damages insurance policy, and even threatened to take legal action. The owner sent me several long winded emails in which she lectured me on moral obligations and how she was a victim because of the lice incident. I responded that the owner and VIP should be discussing this matter with the insurance carrier, not harassing me. When I had finally had enough of the owner's emails, I hired a colleague of mine to handle the matter (I am an attorney at a large law firm). My colleague also received a long winded email from the owner in which she once again lectured him on moral obligations. She also offered to split the costs. He replied that we would not be paying and to direct all further correspondence to him without copying me.
The next day I was contacted by the insurance company to confirm the details of the lice-related damages. The agent informed me a claim had been filed that day, and was surprised that VIP and the owner had been badgering me to pay the damages out of pocket because the damages were clearly covered by the policy. In short, the owner and VIP attempted to bully me into paying for damages that were covered by the incidental damages policy I was required to purchase.
There are many units in Pointe Santo for rent. I would recommend finding another one that does not involve this owner or this rental management company.
Just to be clear - this guest brought head lice into my home. I must say that I was very thankful that they called my management company and informed them of the situation. VIP jumped through hoops to insure that our home was treated and safe for the incoming guests who were arriving within hours. A forensic cleaning company was hired, all bedding was professionally treated and all pillows, sheets and blankets were bagged and destroyed. We responded quickly with professional expertise to insure the health and safety of future guests. In doing so, we incurred significant expense to restore our beautiful island retreat. We were originally told by our insurance company that head lice was not covered under an accidental damage policy. I asked VIP to bill the guest as I believe - and still believe that these costs had nothing to do with me or my home, but were the responsibility of the guest. If I had brought head lice into someone's home, I would have expected a bill! Once this guest directed me to discuss the matter with her attorney and I realized she was her attorney herself, I knew the bill would never be paid. I went back to VIP and asked them to see if the accidental damage policy would at least cover the items that had to be destroyed. The insurance company had never dealt with a head lice claim - it was escalated and we were informed that it may possibly be covered and ultimately, it was. It was an unusual situation and the wording in the rental agreement has been changed to cover extenuating cleaning requirements. Despite the head lice situation, I am happy that these guests enjoyed our home and their Sanibel vacation and I wish them well.
