Terraza con vistas al mar, garaje incluido

Maravilloso duplex de 140m2 con terraza privada de 60m2. Consta de un gran salón comedor con vistas a la bahía de La Concha y a la zona del Antiguo.

El apartamento ha sido renovado en los últimos meses (invierno 2017). En concreto la escalera ha sido restaurada, todas las ventanas sustituídas, todos los edredones y almohadas cambiadas y el WiFi actualizado. El suelo de madera ha sido pulido.

El salón, situado en la tercera planta del edificio, tiene acceso a una gran terraza privada con ducha y vistas a la ciudad de San Sebastian. En la misma planta están la cocina, el comedor y un baño. En la segunda planta se encuentran los dormitorios, el principal con baño incorporado y dos camas individuales, el segundo dormitorio con sofá cama y el tercer dormitorio con cama nido y baño incorporado. El edificio no disponde de ascensor.

La vivienda dispone de conexión WiFi y garaje doble. Del edificio parte un camino privado por el que se llega a la zona baja de la playa de Ondarreta. Un espacio muy tranquilo y perfecto para relajarse :)

Lovely location in need of repairs

The apartment was beautifully located with wonderful views of the beach and surrounding hills. Though it rained for much of our stay the terrace was an amazing place to sit with a coffee or glass of wine. The apartment was in a lovely neighborhood up on a hill (plus many stairs to reach unit) and so not suitable for disabled, elderly or people with mobility issues. Unfortunately, we had several issues that made our stay challenging. With some minor improvements and general maintenance, this might be a first class rental. As it was we were sadly disappointed. Here are some of the issues:

- We were not met at the apartment but had to travel to the office on the other side of town to pick up the key before making our way in a second cab to the property. While the staff were friendly, they did not provide us with enough information about the apartment.

- We were given the wrong credentials for the wifi and had to make several calls to the office to sort the issue out.

- The keys were extremely difficult to use and took many tries for us to be able to access both the main door and the interior door

- Windows in two of the rooms were broken and did not open properly. One had a sign that said it would be fixed soon (but the sign looked like it had been there for some time)

- Second bathroom downstairs had a foul odor coming from the pipes/toilet.

- Apartment smelled of cigarette smoke each time we entered, perhaps rising from a neighbor. Cigar smoke wafted in during each night.

- Bedding was of poor quality

- General cleanliness was not up to standard. A lot of dirt and debris were found under furniture and in corners

- Light switches/outlets were confusing and difficult to work out

- No information about the apartment was to be found inside (hints about where things were, how things work and neighborhood information would have been useful)

- The pullout bed in the middle room downstairs did not pull out properly (that we could figure it out)

Even so, we enjoyed our stay for the most part but that was largely due to the views and location.

The WiFi issues have been corrected and further instructions about the apartment have been left inside it to help guests. 2. All windows have been renovated. 3. All beds now have new duvets, mattresses and pillows. 4. All bathrooms have been refurbished and all kind of smell removed. 5. The apartment has been exhaustively cleaned and will be again before any stay. 6. Switches have been replaced and are now easier to use. 7. The building's main staircase is currently under restoration. We hope that you can enjoy BAYVIEW apartment in the future.

An amazing view and quiet location

We loved the size of this flat, the fantastic location and the privacy this property provided. Neighbors were quiet and we hardly knew anyone was around. The apartment was well situated for anyone wanting to feel like they are living in San Sebastián. Close to the beach, the amusement park, hiking trails, restaraunts and the supermarket, it was a wonderful location. It had secure parking for our rental car which we appreciated. The view, because of how high on the hill it is located, was absolutely mesmerizing. If you cannot walk hills, this may not be your place. But just be aware that the apartment sorely needs updating and repairs. We really thought for this price, it would have been better equipped with the very basics (towels, pillows, decent wifi) and in better repair. Pillows and blankets were musty to the point of not being useable and the flat generally did not feel truly clean. The pull out bed was almost not useable at all. We had to buy a blow up to use on top of it to make it a third bed. The stairwell getting to the flat on the 4th floor was dirty and really stinky. Just entering the building was a challenge with a finicky lockset that needs replacement. Perhaps had we been able to spend all the time on the remarkable deck in the sunshine, the apartment itself would not have been so much an issue but due to unexpected inclimate weather, we were inside frequently.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat after some basic repair and basic supplies are provided. If you don't mind smelly, a property needing repairs and will spend all your time on the deck admiring the view, this place may be for you!
