The location was perfect for easy access to walk into Bruges. Unfortunately, despite the listing saying parking, there was no parking. The host did pay for the local car park, but this was a 20 minute walk away and not ideal. The house has plenty of room and is well equipped, but there was broken parts of the fridge left on the side in the kitchen and open food left in the freezer, which needed a good defrosting. The bathroom was damp, with very bad damp patches, due to there being no windows that could be opened downstairs. So that whole area smelt of damp. Not great for asthmatics. The garden area could be nice, but has been left and need attention. The shuttered window in our room couldn't be opened as apparently the cord had just broken, but it looked like this happened a while ago, as was very worn. This house would not be good for very young children (our youngest is nine), as the stairs are very steep and quiet dangerous for very young or elderly. With some care and attention, this house could be lovely.
