The only negative to this beautiful lakefront home is that it's not mine!

We (2 co-workers & I) stayed here while on assignment in the Taconic area. At the risk of letting the secret out, this is by far one of the finest rental properties we've ever had the pleasure to enjoy!

We spent a week here in Nov. & enjoyed every moment of it. Had balmy weather on arrival & were able to enjoy the outdoor deck, kayaking, + an awesome late fall lake view. Later in the week as it became colder we took advantage of the wood stove in the living rm.

Walking up the sidewalk to "our" beautiful lake front home we were greeted w/ falling leaves, cornstalks, & pumpkins/gourds artfully arranged. Once inside we were treated to an immaculate home decorated tastefully with an emphasis on comfort.

Right inside the front door there's a spacious & airy sun-room with banquette seating.

Just past this room is a modern kitchen equipped with stainless steel French door refrigerator, induction stove-top/oven, Bosch dishwasher, granite countertops, tile floors, & high quality cupboards. The kitchen is perfectly laid out for preparing a meal or just heating something purchased elsewhere. You'll be provided with dishes, stemware, flatware, & pots/pans galore - including bakeware and bar-ware. There is a coffee maker, toaster oven, & microwave. Just wait till you get that first glimpse of the sparkling lake when you walk in!

Moving into the living room there's a large fireplace with a wood stove insert. Firewood is provided. Above the fireplace you'll be treated to a 40" flat screen tv. PPV movies can be purchased on Dish TV. DVD player, stereo, & I-Pod docking stations are provided. The living room is furnished with tasteful, comfortable furniture - both antique & new - all blending into a pleasing room.

Past the living room you'll walk into an area with a futon & dining table that sits 6. All of these rooms face the back wall of windows/sliding glass doors which overlook the HUGE deck & lake. The view alone is priceless. We watched birds at the feeder on the deck, geese flying overhead, & ducks swimming in the lake - as well as fish jumping out of same. We heard tell of a red fox family, but were never priveledged to see it.

The bedrooms & bath were tastefully furnished, perfectly clean, & most comfortable. The linens & towels were of very high quality.

The owners were immediately responsive to any questions/concerns.

Newly remodeled, perfectly decorated, and spic and span clean. From the moment you walk in; through the stunning sunroom - to the beautiful kitchen, with granite countertops and beautiful modern stainless steel appliances, to the LR with 40" flat screen TV perched above a fireplace,and adjacent dining room with wall to wall windows, overlooking the sparkling, stocked, spring-fed pond...it's PRICELESS!!! Not to mention the luxurious soaps, linens, and towels. It has been a truely spectacular week here. 5 star, to say the least. Highly recommended. Despite the fact that it is mid-November here. We were still able to enjoy kayaking on the lake.

This is a perfect Cottage, where real care has been taken to make each guest feel at home. From the living room and dining room area you will have windows looking out over the water and nature that are 180 degrees. The large wood deck is perfect for tea and coffee or even a BBQ as a Grill is provided. Everything in this Cottage is exquisite: the Beds, the Bath, the furniture, the flat screen televisions, the new Fridge, and the Kitchen are all first class. Every amenity is here, from Kayaks to Towels and Sheets - you will be amazed. My wife and I drove up from New York City and the peace and quiet was so revitalizing and renewing. We stayed a week and could have stayed a month. You will be quite happy if you choose this Cottage.

We've just finished our last great meal in your beautiful house. From the surroundings, to the amenities and the decor -- everything is perfect! There's something about spending time in a house that is comfortable, spotlessly clean and has everything you need and nothing you don't that makes me want to go home, redecorate and purge half my belongings!

This is a wonderful, well appointed lakefront home! Extremely clean and well maintained. The fully stocked, up to date kitchen is a dream to work in. This home is decorated beautifully and is warm and comfortable throughout ... from the bedrooms and bath to the living room furnishings, as well as, the wrap around porch and views of the lake. The owner is terrific to work with... very helpful and so knowledgeable about the area. Our stay far exceeded expectations and made for a wonderful family weekend. We are definitely looking forward to going back.

We had a wonderful time at this lovely cottage. It was clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully furnished. The photos are accurate, but you will also be pleasantly surprised by some of the details and setting. There is a fully fenced side yard, a great asset for pets or children. During the day, we took advantage of the row boat, and the cottage's convenient location for hiking. At night, you can see the stars from the porch, or when relaxing in the living room or master bedroom. The owner was very informative and attentive. We hope to return one day!

The ultimate in rest and relaxation. Very pet friendly. Beautiful home. why buy when you can rent. The owners were extremely pleasant to deal with and went out of their way to insure our comfort.
