We've rented many properties in France over the years but your was absolutely the best. Clean, well-equipped, fabulous furnishings. Altogether an amazing holiday home.

This was our 4th visit to the south of France and was definitely the best holiday we've had! The villa was very clean, comfortable and spacious and the views were amazing.The kids loved playing in the pool and we had some great bbq's. Its a fantastic area to explore and we found lots of interesting markets-Olonzac and Sigean, as well as lovely beaches in La Franqui and Port La Nouvelle. Well worth a visit to the local wine caves which were amazing! The village itself has a good supermarket and a bakery for fresh baguettes and croissants. The villa is also within easy reach of the Canal du Midi-a lovely part of France, where you can stroll along the river and soak up the atmosphere. We would certainly recommend the area and the villa and hope to visit again soon.

The villa is set at the edge of a small village & surrounded by beautiful countryside & views over the unspoilt Mediterranean countryside covered in the natural vegetation with is made up of rosemary, various evergreen oak species, viburnum, pine, juniper & other native species (garrigue). This lovely villa is, modern with character, immaculate & spacious The villa has everything you need and more. It is equipped with all modern appliances including a TV that can access UK channels & wireless internet access. Plenty of CD's, DVD's, books and maps are available for use. The pool & the deck area are in full sunshine for almost the whole day & there are plenty of seating & sunbeds to use. There is a covered barbeque area with table and seating to one side of the garden. The views are stunning & you can walk from the house for miles & miles into the countryside. There are excellent bicycles available in the garage. There’s a small village supermarket & boulangerie which are about a 10 minute walk (and even quicker by bike!) from the villa. There is plenty to do in the area within an easy drivable range. We would recommend the African Safari Park & a visit to the old walled town of Carcassonne dating back to around 1000 AD which has many lovely restaurants. Tautavel is also a lovely village, with an interesting archeological museum set in a valley surrounded by hills. This is the site of the oldest hominid remains ever discovered in Europe dating back to 450,000 years ago. Also there is great white water rafting near Quillan. The Spanish border is not too long a drive away & we visited Barcelona which is three hours away. Sue was most accommodating & also extremely helpful. Dave who looks after the pool & house is very friendly & helpful too. The villa had a lovely home from home feeling about it and we felt very comfortable there during our stay. We would thoroughly recommend a stay in this lovely and very comfortable accommodation set in beautiful Mediterranean countryside.

What more is there to add to all the previous reviews than our confirmation that everything is absolutely true. Villa Romarin is by far the best holiday cottage we have rented so far. The views from the pool and bedrooms are absolutely breathtaking and much more impressive than the photographs seem to suggest. The house was spic and span upon our arrival. Pool toys, board games, books, dvd's, cd's, internet, top quality bikes, brochures, maps and city guides, ... Villa Romarin has it all and more. We have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone who wants to be "away from it all".

We had a great time! Villa very comfortable with eveything you need to make your stay enjoyable... Beautiful view from the back garden, easy walk to the local village/boulangerie and bikes available to explore the local area. However, would recommend that you hire a car if you want to go further afield t visit beaches, towns,cities and the brilliant African Nature Reserve!

If you are trawling the internet to find somewhere to stay in Languedoc, you need look no further!! We agree with all the comments in the other reviews. Villa Romarin was an excellent base for our holiday. We loved the location which is quite rural and typical and proved to be a great base for trips to Carcasonne, Narbonne, Perpignon, Canet, Colioure, Ceret and many lovely beaches. As the owner says, you will need a car and expect to drive 15 to 90 minutes to get the best of the region. The accommodation was exactly as described and actually the website photos do not do it justice - it exceeded our expectations and was very clean, tidy and full of home from home comforts. We are coming back to France next year and will consider staying again if we do not stay further south.

This was one of the best holidays we have had. The villa was really lovely everything was perfect so relaxing. The area was beautiful and the history of the cathers was so interesting. We would absolutely be back and would highly recommend the villa and the area to everyone.

Nous avons passé une semaine formidable, à 4 adultes et 2 enfants.
La maison offre de superbes prestations :
1. La vue est superbe.
2. L'endroit est calme.
3. la piscine est très agréable
4. Toutes les pièces sont agréables à vivre
5. Lave-linge, lave-vaisselle, frigo, tout est là pour nous soulager vis à vis des contraintes ménagères

Ce que j'ai particulièrement apprécié :
1. Les propriétaires sont charmants et vraiment très accueillants
2. Tout est présent dans la maison pour être opérationnels en arrivant :
- minimum de ravitaillement, produits vaisselles, etc.
- La cuisine et tous ses accessoires
- La piscine et tous ses accessoires
- Livres en tous genres (romans, cuisine, cartes de la région, etc.)
3. La maison est impeccable, on se serait cru à l'hotel (draps, serviettes, etc. tout est là.

En gros, c'est grand, c'est beau , c'est calme, et on arrive on décharge et on est EN VACANCES.

De loin la meilleure maison que j'ai louée jusqu'à maintenant.

Seul bémol : il aurait fallu un accès à Internet, ce qui doit être disponible aujourd'hui.
