The perfect holiday

This was the first villa that I have ever booked direct with the villa owners and not through a travel agent or company. I have to admit I was a little hesitant to do this at first however I was soon put at ease by the immediate responses I had from the owners Roy and Ann when i emailed them questions I had regarding the Villa and the local amenties. From the moment I made my first enquiry Roy and Ann stayed in touch with me, answering questions and making recommendations.
On arrival all our party were so pleasently suprised, the Villa itself was exactly as described, if not better. We looked around and instantly felt at home, we arrived quite late with children in our party and found bread, milk, eggs, tea/coffee and wine ready and waiting for us, this was the perfect start to the relaxing holiday we had come for.
The weather for the first few days was windly, we had already known that may be the case due to Roy & Ann advising us that before our arrival. However it did not matter as on Roy and Ann's recommendation we had hired a car through a local company and made good use of that hire by going to the nearby Agai Napa and Protaras for the days.
When the weather got better we visited Nissi Beach a few minutes drive away, the children loved looking for crabs whilst us ladies took advantage of the white sandy beach and sun. Often we just sat round the villa pool soaking up the sun and when the children got to hot outside they were able to go in and play the xbox or watch a DVD which were all available in the villa.
In the evenings we would either have a barbeque at the Villa or went out to eat, there were so many restaurants to choose from. Jungle Mania and Bedrock in Agai Napa are a must if you have children in your party, the two boys in our party, aged 4 and 6 loved it. We also visited the funfare in Agai Napa twice and the males in our party often walked to the local bar to watch the football.
We could not have asked for anymore from our stay here, it was wonderful. I would highly recommend staying at this villa, perfect villa, perfect location with owners whom obviously care about their visitors.

Lieber Roy,
wir hatten schon recht hohe Erwartungen an Dein Haus, was wir jedoch angetroffen haben, hat unsere Erwartungen noch übertroffen. Wir sind immer noch so begeistert, dass wir das Haus für das nächste Jahr direkt wieder gemietet haben.
Wir waren mit 6 Personen dort, es war ausreichend Platz vorhanden. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet gewesen um eine perfekte Zeit dort zu verbringen. Der Garten mit dem Pool, den ausreichend vorhandenen Liegen und der zusätzlichen gemütlichen Sitzgelegenheit unter dem "Zelt", war ebenfalls super schön. Der Pool wurde 2 x in der Woche gereinigt, ein riesiger Gasgrill war ebenfalls vorhanden.
Wir haben 2 wunderschöne Wochen hier verlebt und können das Haus mehr als empfehlen.

Shaybah Lodge is absolutely everything you could wish for in your holiday!!
The villa itself was marvelous, equipped with everything you could need (and more) and well cared for - even better than the photos. Everything in the house was arranged to make us feel comfortable and at home. Extra special touches were especially appreciated! And what a fantastic pool area - so relaxing, private and cosy!
We thought Shaybah Lodge was the perfect location to expore the island! Also - just 2-3 minutes drive to nearby beaches and 10 min drive to Ayia Napa (having a car is strongly recommended). Easy, comfortable, enjoyable and stress free!
To sum up - the villa is fantastic, HIGHLY recommended. Big thank you to Roy and Ann.
We can't wait to come back.

Quite and beautiful villa near Ayia Napa

We spent almost 4 weeks in August to Shabah Lodge with our 3 children. The house is beautiful, well equipped and spacious. Front of the living room, a bay window opens onto a beautiful terrace(it was a surprise because we didn't see on photos), overlooking the pool and the beautiful garden (bravo Ann and Roy for the garden design). The pool is a good size, clean and we really enjoyed ourselves there. The beach of Ayia Thekla is also very nice.
Ayia napa, animation, restaurants and beaches are near by car or bus.
We had a great stay. Roy and Ann are very attentive to their guests, and for small problems neighbors were very helpful.
We hope to return another summer, especially Roy and Ann plan to further improve their facilities.
We recommend this beautiful home for a great vacation in cyprus

Fabulous Villa - EVERYTHING you need

Spent a week here and only wished we had booked for a bit longer. So well equipped, beautiful garden and pool area, everything you could wish for was catered for.
Communication and directions from Roy and Ann were clear making the villa easy to find and settle in - kids were in the pool within hour and a half of landing at Larnaca!
Cannot recommend enough, excellent.

We made the right choice!

From the moment we arrived we knew we'd made the perfect choice in booking Roy and Ann's beautiful villa. We'd had plenty of contact with Roy and Ann prior to arriving in Cyprus, excellent directions to the villa, and a recommendation for a good breakfast - we were arriving very early!
The vila had everything you could think you might need and then some more! The welcome pack and personal welcome note were really appreciated. There were plenty of extra pool towels, excellent outside furniture - the gazebo was a particular favourite late into the evening. It goes without saying that the villa was impeccably clean. There was also a well stocked kitchen - plenty of herbs and spices to supplement our own shopping.
The Zafiri bar and supermarket are a 5 minute walk away and we had a few fab evenings there - making friends with Foxy. There is kareoke on Saturday night and quiz night on Fridays!
Overall, the villa was perfect, the area was perfect - we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and came home well rested! I would recommend Shaybah Lodge to anyone and everyone!

We stayed in the villa for one week in May. Two adults,and three kids from Norway. We enjoyed it very much. We felt so home and welcome right away.The villa was nice and clean when we arrived. You have everything you need for a short or long stay in the villa. The outside area is fantasic,that we did`nt have the need to go any places. But ofcourse we went to Ayia Napa to look,and to eat in the evening. It is just ten minutes away with a car.(about 12 eur.) We have no problem to recommend this villa to friends or any others. And if we are going back to Cyprus,we would love to stay there again. Thank you Roy and Ann for a nice stay,and the good service.

Look no further!!
This beautiful villa far exceeded our expectations. We arrived here, after a very long trek from Cornwall, at 2am. We were absolutely delighted on arrival. The villa was spotless yet really homely. We were a family group of 4 adults and 2 children and immediately felt at home here.To our delight there were provisions in the fridge so we could relax with a nice cuppa and a bite to eat. The children were really excited to find an Xbox with numerous games and access to the internet, not to mention the large selection of dvds and cds. In fact, it was a struggle at times to get everyone to actually leave the villa! The pool and surrounding area was immaculate and so relaxing. We really didn't want for anything here.
We had gone to Cyprus for a family wedding. Around 30 people had traveled from the UK and were staying in various villas close by. We were the envy of them all! And Shaybah Lodge became known simply as 'The Superior Villa'
The Owners, Roy and Ann were always very pleasant and helpful, and very prompt to reply to all emails.
We had no car, but with a bus stop at the end of the road, and an abundance of taxis, this was no problem for us. and it's only a short walk to the beach and great local bar and restaurant which was very reasonably priced. Also 'Waterworld' was walking distance!
I really can't say enough about this villa, it made our holiday.
I would recommend it to anyone and if we return to Cyprus next year we would definitely wish to stay here again.

Your comment about the homeliness of the place is also very gratifying as that is exactly what Ann & I have worked hard to achieve. Our Housekeeper, Gail, is very fastidious and that resulted in the immaculate condition you found the villa in upon your arrival. A number of our guests have also commented on Shaybah Lodges homeliness and the very high spec which indicates we are moving in the right direction.
Cyprus is a wonderful Island with so much to offer and Ann & I both hope you do return to the Island again and we look forward to welcoming you back.

My wife and I were one of the first to stay at Shayba Lodge, following a lengthy tour of work in the Middle East. I was seeking relaxation and enjoyment and the stay proved to be what I was looking for and needed. The accommodation was extremely clean, pleasant and enjoyable, and proved to be just the place as a location for travelling to other parts of Cyprus as well as visiting local sites and villages, for eating out and enjoying oneself . The amenities are extremely good and well kept, and Ayia Theka is easy to find and within reach of Larnaca airport by car.There are a variety of good shopping facilities within easy reach as well as good beaches and walking areas. I have recommended Shayba Lodge to friends.

Me, my husband and our 10 month old daughter stayed at Shaybah Lodge for a surprise break week in September. It was lovely. Terrific neighbours, easy access to to the beach, close enough to Ayia Napa for fun days/nights out yet far enough away when you want it to be. A lovely property that offers everything anyone could need away from home on holiday. Well appointed, superbly equipped and a joy to lounge about in, especially the pool. Heaven!
