o celebrate a Golden and nearly Golden (49 years!) Anniversary with our relatives, we decided to venture to somewhere a little more exotic than South Wales and chose Mallorca. After about a month of searching we came across Finca Bona Vista and got just the right feeling. All the main bedrooms on the lower level, a bathroom\shower room for each of us (3 couples), lovely gardens, pool, near nice restaurants, a few supermarkets, about 1km to a nice beach, caring owners, etc. From the moment we arrived we knew we'd made the right choice. The first couple of days were rainy but gave us an opportunity to see some of the islands beautiful scenery. Ron and Sheila were very helpful with arranging a could of things to make it a little easier for my Uncle who has a few mobility issues (a chair with arms to watch the TV, a loo seat extender, wheelchair) nothing seemed too much trouble. Ron also brought along a few gifts for the anniversary which was eaten and drunk in no time!
The Finca and grounds has everything to make life during the week fun and enjoyable - Table tennis, fantastic BBQ area, great kitchen (cooked constantly and used about 30 lemons in my new beetroot chutney recipe)
When the sun came out on day 3, we decamped to the beautiful pool area and listened to music, played games, talked, and drank, and ate. The local supermarkets have great fish counters which put our own island to shame.
We ventured out from the lovely finca 1 night to the local restaurant which Ron will tell you about. If your lucky you'll make the dinner/dance which happens fortnightly where you can dance and sing with with the chef and mingle with the locals.
I think to sum up the stay it was very 'right' from the very start and I don't think you will be disappointed. It's a little remote if you want to be in the middle of things, but a 15 minute walk takes you to the centre of Ca'n Picafort. Personally, I felt that was more of the Fincas strength. We really enjoyed our stay at Finca Bona Vista. A beautiful finca with everything we needed. Meeting Ron and Sheila prior to being shown around the finca was a lovely introduction to our holiday and made us all feel very welcome. The finca and grounds are very homely and attractive with evidence of a real creative flair. There are many outdoor seating areas, enhanced by a range of attractive lighting. It’s a great place to spend time as a family playing and relaxing. We really enjoyed the table tennis and pool and BBQ areas and found the free WIFI really useful. Plenty of items are provided for a trip to the beach including parasols, towels, beach toys and cool bag making life very easy. Thanks Ron, Sheila, Colin and Wendy for taking care of the details and looking after us so well. We had a great holiday!

Very clean and well presented accomodation with more than enough toys to keep my daughters aged 4 and 7 busy. Ron and Shiela very friendly and attentive throughout. Food and drink on arrival most welcome. Pool popular with the entire family.

It really is as good as the photographs suggest. Recomended.

We had a very enjoyable three week holiday at Finca Bona Vista. Absolutely perfect for a family holiday with lots and lots at the house to keep two 5 year olds and a 10 year old fully occupied for hours on end.

The house exceeded our expectations and truly is a home from home. Everything you need for a truly relaxing holiday is available here.
Apart from the obvious attractions of a pool, dozens of wonderful beaches within an hours drive and (of course) the sun, we were thrilled that the house was perfect for children: vast garden, The Pool Cabin complete with huge kids video library, toys galore, play house, swing, scooters, bikes etc. We often had to go looking for them because they were too quiet/busy enjoying themselves!

The property was immaculate and Ron, Shelia, Wendy and Colin went out of their way to make sure we had everything we neded, fabulous hosts.

We would recommend this to anyone wanting to have their own space in a quiet location, just five minutes drive from town. Perfect!

It is always easy to write something good when you have received something excellent! Laura, my wife and our 19 month old son Daniel and myself stayed at Finca Bona Vista this June.
When we booked our weeks holiday with Ron and Sheila, the high standard of service began immediately. The information pack is exactly as you need it to be, the step by step photographic directions to find the place are better than any map or satnav.
When we arrived, they met us at the local restaurant, after a relaxing drink we were welcomed to their beautiful finca. It really is the most idyllic retreat, with an amazing private garden that surrounds the high quality solar heated swimming pool and relaxing terraces.
Ron and Sheila showed us around the charming house with more rooms than we knew what to do with. Daniel was interested in everything, exploring everywhere he was really loving every minute.
The fridge had been stocked with some food and drink, that really is a special touch.
I think one of the most important things for many people when going on holiday is that the place they stay in is as clean as they expect. You can be assured that Finca Bona Vista is exceptionally clean and well maintained.
Over the week Daniel spent much of his time playing and exploring around the house, with the toys that are there for all children to enjoy especially the play house and tricycle.
The Finca really is located very close to Can Picafort town and its lovely beaches and only 10 minutes away from Alcudia. This makes it hassle free for going shopping and eating out over the holiday
The Finca is ideally secluded and just 5 mins drive from the local amenities

Ron, Sheila, Wendy and Colin are exceptionally good hosts. We would recommend Finca Bona Vista to everyone who is thinking of going to Mallorca and looking for a quality place to stay.

We stayed at here for a week at the beginning of May 2011 as a family celebration for my father's 70th birthday. The accommodation was superb! The villa comfortably fitted 6 adults and one baby in three gorgeous bedrooms, two of which have lovely en-suite bathrooms and there is a large family bathroom too (perfect for bathing the little one).
The house itself is incredibly well-stocked (including welcome pack and essentials in the fridge when we arrived) and we didn't lack anything. Ron visited during our stay check on our welfare, water the plants and to clean the pool and was the perfect host - pleasant and friendly but not over intrusive.
The location was perfect for my husband and I as we are keen cyclists and the house has access down 2 lanes in different directions giving you great options when it comes to choosing your ride for the day. For the others, it was only a short drive to the excellent beach. In terms of keeping the baby entertained, the house was incredible. There were so many play things for him there - play house, Little Tikes car, tricycles, push alongs, paddling pools, skittles, balls, cuddly toys, etc - that we were all amazed. He appeared with a new toy every morning, so boredom for the litte one was never an issue!
There were several supermarkets nearby with excellent food options. We ate outside on the poolside terrace every evening - the lighting around the house is very pretty and made for a beautiful setting.
We ate out only once a great local restaurant recommended by Ron and Sheila and were exceptionally well looked after by the owner. The food there is excellent and well worth the short evening stroll down the lane to get there - even better when you don't need a designated driver! All in all this was a superb place to stay, thank you Ron for making us so welcome and for looking after us all! We are sure to recommend you and hope to be back soon.

Sheila and Ron could not have been more helpful! From our initial enquiry and booking to the warm welcome on arrival, during our stay and up to our departure they were always helpful but never intrusive.

The Villa was everything we had hoped for, and even more than expected. A truly rural location seemingly miles from anywhere but only a few minutes by car from child friendly beaches, coastal resorts and supermarkets.

Set in beautiful grounds that were quite extensive there were plenty of child friendly spaces for hide and seek or football and family games. The pool was always kept really clean with lots of fun water toys and all the children from 3 to 63 spent hours in it. Our grandchildren are already asking how soon we can go back and we all hope it will not be too long before we do!

For a family holiday this definately ticks all the boxes. Thanks again Ron and Sheila for making it a truly memoral vacation.

This finca was excellent, in a beautiful peaceful location but only minutes away, by car, from the busy town of Can Picafort. Accommodation was excellent plenty of room for our party of 5, excellent barbeque and pool area, with lovely lighting at night, especially in pool. The only negative we would have would be the depth of the pool which with me being 5' 2" came right up to my neck. However a few lilos and inflatables to play on over came this problem. Overall we had a great holiday and would have no hesitation in recommending this finca or spending another holiday there. Also the customer service provided by Ron, Sheila and their son-in-law Colin was second to none. Thanks again for making this a holiday to remember.
