Dear Juan, Juana and Jesús,
A quick response to confirm that we had a wonderful holiday and found
Villa Azuara to be everything we wanted and more.
It was spacious, clean and well
equipped. The beds were comfortable and everything was in good working
order. The pool and the garden were well maintained and spacious and
the whole surroundings were very attractive. The views of course were
stunning and the position of the villa on the mountain meant that the
early to mid mornings were pleasantly cooler and you then had the sunny
evenings and glorious sun-sets. We found the design of the two separate
villas within the one building to be very clever and allowed both
villas to maintain privacy from each other. In terms of location, we
found the villa to be convenient for Jaen (which we really liked) while
day trips to towns such as Ubeda, Baeza and Granada etc were easy and
straight forward. We also found the Jaen region to be untouristy and
unspoilt (i.e. we did not feel surrounded by other tourists) and found
the people of this part of Andalucia very friendly and welcoming and
the cuisine excellent (very good tapas). We plan to come back.
No major complaints.

Los Villares rental villa
My family had a wonderful stay at this lovely country villa. The description and photos match the property perfectly. We greatly enjoyed our stay here.
The directions would have been a problem, except we were met by the managing couple at a small, easily found grocery store in the town of Los Villares and then followed them to the location. They were very open and accommodating, even baking us a Spanish Omelette!
I would recommend this rental to anyone who is interested in seeing this area of Spain. It would work well for an older couple or a family with kids as the entire apartment is situated on one floor.

We highly recommend Villa Azuara
Hi Juan,
I did write a testimony immediately to HomeAway.com which was very complementary. Will sum up again briefly;
The home was lovely, in an area that was central to all the attractions we wanted to see, yet also had a feeling of being away from it all. The owners were very warm and helpful. The home was quiet, clean, spacious, lovely and quite well stocked in the kitchen. Nobody was in the apartment above us so we had the villa all to ourselves. The pool, the flowers and the views were fabulous!
We used the home as our base to travel to through Andulusia. We ate in many beautiful towns and cities, however one of our favorite spots was the restaurant right down the hill!
The only problem were the directions. It is very hard to drive around Jaen to Los Villares and people in Spain do not speak much English. The directions need to be VERY specific. Most English speaking people do not know how to pronounce the name of the village," Los Viyares," and that confuses the issue. Please have complete and well- written instructions on how to get to the house- every step of the way!
The trip was just wonderful and we highly recommend Villa Azura to those who want to see the "real" Spain and it's famous moorish cities but would also like to see the countryside. We truly enjoyed every minute of it!
