Great vacation on the lake!

We absolutely loved this place!! My husband and I stayed here for Memorial Day weekend with my in-laws and our twin 2 year old daughters. The outside kitchen was fantastic and our girls loved playing outside. It was perfect because there is a grassy yard on the lake side of the house and there is a fence so no fear of the girls falling down the steps to the dock. It was great to sit on the patio, feel the breeze off the lake and let the girls run around and play and know they were safe. Stephanie was wonderful to work with. The upstairs a/c broke the day before we left and I don't know how she did it but she got a repairman there within an hour... On a Sunday.. The day before a holiday. It was fixed ASAP!!! There were lots of things to do in Granbury- a festival downtown for the holiday, public beach in town, Revolver brewery nearby and Fossil Rim Safari park in nearby Glen Rose. Everyone had a blast.
The pictures of the house are accurate except the water level which the homeowner has no control over of course. (more later) . The beds are comfortable and there is a large playroom upstairs which was great for our girls.
3 things to help other renters
1) There are plenty of pots, pans, and dishes to use. If you have rented from VRBO/homeaway before, sometimes places have spices and condiments - this place did not... And that was disclosed so we had no problem with that. It's just good to know so you can bring anything you need.
2) There is only 1 bathroom upstairs for the 3 bedrooms - it was fine for us since it was just my husband and I and our girls but it is something to be aware of if you are traveling with other families. There was a nice Master bathroom off the master bedroom downstairs and a powder room downstairs as well.
3)The lake levels at Lake Granbury are rather low, so there was actually no water under the dock. Just sand/dirt. Obviously there is no control over that..This was not a problem for us as we did not have a boat and did not swim but had we rented one, it would have been a big issue. So if you plan to rent/bring a boat, be sure to ask if the dock is accessible before you go.
I definitely recommend this rental and we hope to come back soon!! Thank you Stephanie!

Beautiful location with a great, family-friendly backyard

We had a great time during our weekend vacation to the lake. The house was a short hour drive from the DFW metroplex.
At the house, there are great views and it is close to downtown Granbury. Best of all, the location is very family friendly. The fenced in backyard provided a great place for the kids to play and the outdoor cabana (with tv, fireplace, and grill) was a great spot to relax and cook.
The owners were very friendly and prompt to address any of our question or needs. Overall, we had a blast and definitely recommend staying at this location.

We have a group of 10-13 girls that go on a trip every year. We had10 girls this year stay at this house and we had a blast! The house is BEAUTIFUL and very clean. It has plenty of room and a really nice covered area outside to hang out by the lake with a fireplace, grill and kitchen area. I would love to come back here with my family or a group of couple with a boat next time over the summer!

Beautiful home! We were quite surprised that this property and all the upgrades were even greater than the photos display. The outdoor kitchen space was the perfect setting allowing plenty of room to socialize both indoors and out. The owner was lovely and always responded quickly throughout the transaction. Not only would we recommend this home to our friends and family, but we're sure to rent it out ourselves once again soon!

I rented this home for an annual weekend get-away with 7 of my closest friends. It was perfect! The home is lovely, the furnishings are beautiful - yet comfortable, and the setting is just beautiful. We had such a great time - cooking in the big kitchen and grilling on the outdoor grill; lounging on the patio and in the large living room; staying up late and visiting; plus shopping "on the square" in Granbury, which is just a few minutes away. We were very pleased with the entire experience!!!

Very well appointed home with many upgrades. Pictures are quite accurate. Gazebo is real bonus with TV, Fridge and ice maker. Great accomodations for large family. Only negative would be need for second bath upstairs.

Our stay at this home was awesome! It was the most beautiful, clean house, with great views of the lake. We loved the outdoor kitchen also. We loved sitting out on the dock and fishing. All the rooms were beautiful with alot of room for my whole family. We made some great memories at this house and intend on returning again.
