Villa Escondida...Still as Amazing as Before

It had been over two years since I had stayed at Villa Escondida in quaint Bocana beach. I was thrilled to see that it had not dropped in grandeur, althought the beach had changed to some degree. According to the friendly neighborhood locals, the beach currents are changing again and the ocean is receeding. It's amazing to be so close to nature, and to hear the roar of the ocean from your bedroom at night. No matter what, you can't beat the luxury of this secluded villa. My daughter was thrilled with the whole experience, as this was her first time to Huatulco. We played countless games of Cribbage and Scrabble while overlooking the flora and fauna from our private oceanside balcony. We also enjoyed eating at 3 of the 4 quaint restaurants in the neighborhood. They were great and so convenient and welcoming. I won't wait so long next time to stay at this remarkable villa. Thanks to Zac, the villa manager, and his staff for a terrific experience. Villa Escondida is a must try experience!!

A Place to Chill and re-energize

Very much enjoyed staying here for the evening. It is right on the beach and next to a nature preserve. If you are a surfer or want to learn how to surf, this is a great place to get way from the crowds, rent a board and chill in the cool water during a hot day. You can stay here without a car, kick back and re-energize if you are feeling bulldogish or rent a car and visit near by towns for some really good food. If you want to spend a pleasant day in the country side, you can visit the local abundance of waterfalls and know that you have a secure place to come back to in the evening. And a nearby restaurant smokes its own meats and brews its own beer and Mezcal. If you are a foodie, then you must experience this place for yourself, but watch yourself, the Mezcal goes down easy. If I could afford it, I would rent the whole place for a week, take my friends and get lost in the beauty of Villa Escondida.

Spectacular Accommodations In Gorgeous Mexican Destination

All I can say is WOW!! I had never heard of Huatulco before this vacation and I was a bit hesitant to go there for that very reason. I have travelled to most of Mexico's most well known destinations and I was starting to get sick of the tourist traps and Americanized cities. Huatulco proved to be the exact opposite of these other areas. This quaint Mexican town has no sky scrapers, no McDonalds, no Wal Mart, etc. There are nice privately owned restaurants, bars and stores and no shortage of beautiful beaches with 36 different beaches over 9 bays.

Villa Escondida blew us away from the moment we stepped off the plane. The villa's extraordinary managers Elsa & Armando were waiting for us at the airport with huge smiles on their faces and a new Chevy Tahoe to take us to the villa. Huatulco's International Airport is only about 20 minutes from town and a nice easy drive.

We arrived at the villa which is actually ON THE SAND in this beautiful area of town called La Bocana, where the Copalita River meets the Pacific. What a spot!

My girlfriend & I have travelled to a lot of high end locations in the world but we have never experienced the quality and services offered at Villa Escondida. From the airport transportation to the welcome cocktails to the daily breakfast service to the suggestions and planning of excursions, Elsa & Armando were there to help us along the way for our first experience in Huatulco. The furniture, fixtures & finishes in Villa Escondida where above & beyond anything we have seen before.

After a week at this phenomenal villa I don't think we plan on visiting any other places in Mexico and we have already booked our next stay at the villa!
