Terrific condo! We had a wonderful family vacation in Grand Cayman. The accommodations were fantastic. The condo was clean and nicely decorated. We had everything there that we needed, including the use of a cell phone to make reservations or other general use while on the island. The screened in porch was fantastic and provided a beautiful place to watch sunrises and play family games in the evenings. The owner provided many insights into where to eat and other activities on the island. He was very knowledgeable about the diving, which was the purpose of our trip. A good time was had by all. We would definitely recommend this condo for anyone who wants a little slice of heaven and not all of the hustle and bustle of a touristy destination.

We stayed at this Kaibo condo in February 2012 and in our review at that time, we stated we couldn't wait to return next winter. Well we couldn't, so we stayed again this past week and loved it again. It was a bit warmer this time around but the breeze was from the south which kept us in a very nice breeze throughout 90% of our stay and we actually only used the air conditioner three nights. All the remarks about the snorkeling are accurate and we spent several entire days just lounging at Rum Point. We had a great dinner at Over the Edge and ate at Tukka on the East End one night. Get a discount coupon before heading to Tukka!! Calico Jack's is our favorite beach bar on Seven Mile and the bartenders are very friendly. Hammerhead is another cool bar on the water right in Georgetown and they have their own swimming dock and lockers. And of course the Yacht Club is terrific, just a two minute stroll down the beach. If you have a phone with I heart radio or an I pod, bring a cord that has rca audio/video jacks as there is a small stereo you can plug into. There is internet access in the unit. The lanai is big and is where you will spend most of your time while inside having meals or just relaxing. The scenery is very relaxing.

Overall, Grand Cayman is our favorite destination so far as it is extremely safe feeling, clean and the folks are friendly. The owner is responsive although we have had no issues, he even has a key lock in case you happen to lose yours, peace of mind!! The only minor mistake we made was to arrive on a Sunday as all grocery/liquor stores are closed so we stocked up with stuff to get us by at a gas station convenience store on the way. Hurley's grocery store is the best we found and most things we're used to in the US. Also the value of this unit and location can't be beat in our opinion and we're a bit reluctant to write a positive review because we don't want too many people to know about it ;)

We were more than pleased with our vacation to Rum Point and the rental of this condo. We were glad we decided to rent this condo in Kaibo vs. a condo right at Rum Point like we had originally planned. The location is spectacular! It was nice to visit Rum Point Beach several times, but it was even nicer to go back to Kaibo and the peaceful surroundings at the condo. The owner's tips and information were great and we used most of them; dinner at Over the Edge, dinner at Rolland Gardens (truly a unique experience), Red Sail Sports snorkel and sting ray excursion, dinner barbeque on Tuesday night at the Kaibo Yacht Club, etc. We enjoyed it all! The owner was extremely helpful in setting us up for the vacation and answering all of our questions. We do plan on returning for another vacation there in the future.

I know I live in paradise (Cayman), but this beautiful condo opened my eyes of how relaxing and wonderful our Island is. Like my son said "Its nice to be home but its better to be at Kaibo Condos".

This beautiful condo catered to my family and I. We loved it. It was bigger than I expected which was even better. Well equipped with all you need.

We stayed a week at the Kaibo condo, loved it ... Rum Point restaurants and beach activities just a short distance, and Kaibo Yacht club right next door. Condo was well situated and provided all the requirements for a base to go diving, snorkeling and keep out of the path of the tourist crowds. When evening comes, Rum Point and Kaibo are a serene escape. Stars were awesome.

Owner worked with us endlessly on plan changes and was very flexible and accommodating. VRBO relies on good owners who work with renters, and Mark is Top Notch - true to his word and flexible to make sure my family had a great stay. Thanks again ...

My bride and I stayed for 2 weeks and enjoyed every minute. The condo is located a mile south of Rum Point - within walking distance. Condo is right on a lagoon w/a great beach, perfect for families w/kids. Pool is between the condo unit and the lagoon.
Plenty of resturants close by as well. Would recommned renting a car though.
We made friends down there with a bunch of "the locals" - everyone is very welcoming and hospitable.
My only complaint is that our 2 weeks went by too fast and The Packers lost !!

We spent the most wonderful ten days at this condo and it was very depressing to leave to say the least!!! The place was very clean, neat and well appointed. The second floor presented a very pleasing and relaxing tropical view of the water just steps away and sleeping with the door open all night was perfect. The area is beautiful and classy, it is surrounded by multi million dollar houses with gorgeous views. We swam out in front of the condo most mornings and walked to Rum Pt a few times for people watching and to enjoy the views. Our stay was extremely tranquil and quiet which was exactly what we were looking for and we seemed to just about have the place to ourselves. The owner has everything covered which reduced any anxiety you may have and we experienced zero problems during our stay. The island is fun and felt like the safest island we have visited and we felt right at home at Kaibo, no worries whatsoever, everyone is polite and happy from the gardeners, neighbors etc. no beggars or harassing vendors anywhere we went. We rented a car and drove into town several times which is about a forty minute drive but in my opinion it was well worth staying at our location. Stuff is expensive as is most other locations in the Caribbean but the big grocery stores aren't too bad and you can stock up and prepare meals in the condo. We ate out a lot including the yacht club, a short stroll down the beach. I cannot wait to return next year and have already begun to plan it. The owner, Mark was very professional and easy to deal with and really made it a positive experience. If you have your own snorkel gear bring it and you can explore the best spots on the island. If only I could live here......It was truly our favorite vacation to date. One last thing, the Rum Pt area can be very windy as it faces the open ocean, at our location it was much nicer as it is much less windy. Thanks very much Mark.

The Kaibo condo was a clean place that had a great pool and hot tub that was right on the edge of the water. Everything worked and was well maintained. The beach was nice and private. Down the road less than a mile was Rum Point beach; we loved hanging out there as a family with fresh food and drinks and the beach restaurant -with chairs and tables provided. Some snorkeling was available at the condo and at Rum point. The snorkeling was even better by the public beach a mile down the road just another mile or so. We thought the beach for swimming was best at Rum Point.

We liked that it was safe going around the island and we were able to take a rented car everywhere around the island. We did not stay at the 7 mile beach but did visit. Alot busier on that side of town- if you like a busy atmosphere that comes with a big beach that would be for you.

The Rum Point has good casual food on the beach tables; at the Restaurant at night the food was extremely upscale in presentation in a beautiful but yet semi casual restaurant. We liked the very casual environment and food at Edge O Water and the brunch at Tukkas. The Kaibo Club was where we went the most. It is a very short walk away to it, and had a great barbeque night and very good other food. Kaibo has a full moon dining night that looked neat with white linens on the beach. We would try to go to it if we had the chance to be there on a full moon again.

We drove to Hell on the other side of the island and thought the landscape and the novelty was worth a little trip. The Turtle Farm looked like it could have been more interesting, but we got there late and the staff seemed to be leaving and setting up for a party and did not offer any guidance.

In town, Guy Harveys had alot of unique items and we did meet Mr Harvey himself while painting. This was pretty neat. For Jimmy Buffet fans, a trip to Margarittiville in town is worthwhile. We liked the Barefoot Man at the Reef. He is a legendary local singer who lives in Caymen who has alot of island folklore songs with character similar to Buffet.

Our teenagers went on a resort scuba at Ocean Frontiers and thought it was great and would recommend it. My wife and I stuck with snorkeling.

We went in November 2011 and enjoyed the weather as a wonderful change from Wisconsin. We would recommend the time of year and this condo. The owner and manager do seem to care a great deal about making sure your stay is a good one.
