We wanted to see crater lake and as we had large group we decide to take this cabin, the price is very resonable when compared to other cabins. This Cabin has everything for perfect get away. Lot games for indoor and outdoor. There is small theater with big TV and kids loved it.
Kitchen has everything you need to cook and feed for large group. For some reason there is no dishwasher.
Crater lake 50miles away and thats a huge advantage if that is on your list.

Best Family Christmas Ever!

17 of my family members and I stayed at Saddleback Ranch for Christmas this last year and had one of the most memorable Christmases of our lives. The house was lovely. It was snowy, so we didn't see all of the property, but what we did experience was wonderful. There were a few difficulties (mostly due to a miscommunication with the groundskeeper who might have been new), especially with the hot tub that wasn't working while we were there, but the owner was available to help us problem solve even on Christmas Day, and gave us a partial reimbursement and a discount on our next stay (which we absolutely will go again) for our trouble. The bedrooms were so beautiful and very comfortable. Sleeping downstairs in the family/theater room wasn't so great because the heater makes a noise that kept waking me up, but everyone else in the house slept like a baby, even those who slept on the blow up in the living room. We didn't sleep in the bunk house, but it is very nice (especially the newly remodeled bathroom) and we had a good time playing pool. We went sledding at the rock quarry and it was awesome!!! Three powder covered hills to sled on a perfectly sunny day, so warm, many of us shed our hats, gloves, and even our coats! We can't wait to go again, can't wait to try a summer vacation, too!

Quiet country ranch house in the woods.

This Chiloquin property is located quite some distance from the nearest town, Chiloquin, and about 50 miles from the nearest big town (and shops!!), Klamath Falls.
The house is quite large, with plenty room for families to spread out, yet enjoy some time together. The kitchen is well supplied with all utensils, small appliances and dinnerware, plus has a cupboard full of condiments! Be aware that there is no dishwasher or garbage disposal.
There is a large family room downstairs, complete with large screen TV and a full compliment of movies. Bedrooms are comfortable, with good quality bedding and very nice mattresses. There are bathrooms on each level. The master suite is spacious with TV, couch, full walk-in closet and large bathroom. There are 2 washers and 2 dryers in the laundry.
The outdoor facilities are wonderful - covered barbecue area with 3 barbecues, 2 gas and 1 charcoal. There is a spacious deck with plenty of umbrellas, tables, chairs and a firepit.
The bunk house features a pool table, and would be somewhat crowded (but fun) with 16 campers sharing 2 bedrooms with 4 bunkbeds in each and 2 bathrooms.
We had some last minute questions, which were answered promptly by the owner who was available by phone at any time.
We would recommend this property for a large family or group gathering. The facilities lend themselves to these gatherings, with a very nicely presented house and bunkhouse on a secluded 50 acre parcel of land.
Our 2 large English Mastiff dogs really enjoyed long walks, and cool shady areas to sleep.
That said, bear in mind that the nearest large supermarket is 50 miles away! There is a very small general store in Chiloquin, 15 miles down the road. Be sure to have matches plus mosquito repellent candles and sprays for outdoor activities.
There is a large casino on Highway 97 near Chiloquin with a gas station and restaurant facilities, plus some very small restaurants along the highway. Crater Lake is a 50 mile drive, but worth the trip.
We had a most enjoyable family weekend, and would not hesitate to recommend this property for a quiet country holiday.
