This is our 2nd visit to this beautiful house only steps to the beach and minutes to Daytona or Flagler beaches. Enjoyed sunning and fishing just across the street and relaxing evenings at home in a perfect location. We will definitely be returning.As always Eliane was great and we greatly enjoyed our stay. Fancy Sushi in Ormond is definitely worth a try for the sushi lover!

I can’t say enough great things about Eliane and Chris. They immediately make you feel welcome in their very clean, well kept, pet friendly home that is a short walk to the beach. The house is just as pictured, kitchen is well furnished, queen sized bed was very comfortable and all furnishings seemed brand new. Having a washer & dryer was a convenience as well as the use of beach umbrellas and boogie boards. A rental shop is on your walk to the beach that provides surfboards, kayaks and bicycles. The sidewalk along the ocean front road is perfect for skating, cycling or walking. A vets office and restaurant are within walking distance. The dog friendly beach is 9 miles north. Dogs are welcome on the beach with a leash. All Central Florida attractions are within 45 minutes including St Augustine, Marineland, Disney World and the Space Center. I would recommend to anyone for a great vacation spot. I did not want to leave!

This was the most relaxing and fun vacation I had in years! Eliane and Chris have thought of everything to make the stay enjoyable! The location is perfect to go to the beach, a less than three minute walk! And very convenient to drive to St. Augustine, Jacksonville, Daytona, Cocoa Beach and of course, Disney World and Universal Studios. They are all an easy and relaxing drive. The house makes you feel like you're at home (but in a more fun location). It is comfortable and welcoming. The porch and back yard are perfect for relaxing, and having a cookout is made easy by the space.
I have already booked a week next year, and I can't wait!

We've stayed in a number of places in Daytona and Ormond Beach, from hotels to condos to private homes. This home was perfect. It was clean, everything we needed was there. The ocean is just a very short walk. The neighbors are even friendly and nice.

My grandchildren loved the sand pit. I think they liked that better than the beach!

One of our best vacations.

It's so cliche to say that you don't want to go home at the end of a vacation, but inevitably it always feels good to get back home and resume your normal routine. Not this time. For the first time in my life, I seriously did NOT want to go back home. This house was very comfortable, livable, and truly felt like my own home away from home.

We rented the house for two weeks, along with our two dogs. If you travel with pets, you know how difficult it can be to find nice accommodations without getting gouged on either rent, pet fees or both. That is not the case here. It was perfect! It may look small in the first picture, but don't be fooled. This house has tons of space, with a very large living room/dining room area, a good sized family room, and two spacious bedrooms. The kitchen is a little tight with more than 2 people in there, but is otherwise fine, and is open to the dining room and family room. The private fenced backyard was fantastic, with a HUGE patio, as well as a large landscaped yard (mulched, not grass, so bring a brush to keep your dogs clean of mulch) for the dogs to play in. The house is fully-stocked with dishes, pots & pans, spices, paper items, toiletries, linens, etc., so you pretty much just need your clothes and food to have a very enjoyable vacation. There's even a washer and dryer if you want to pack lightly.

I have to say that the owners, Eliane and Chris, are both very nice people who have their guest's best interest in mind. Eliane called me the day before we were to arrive to let me know there was a broken blind, and that it would be replaced the next day. They took care of it as promised, which gave me an opportunity to meet them in person and have a very enjoyable conversation with them.

Dog owners: There is an AMAZING new dog park just 0.2 miles north of the house inside Bicentennial Park. You MUST take your dogs here! Don't bother taking them anywhere else (especially the beach at Lighthouse Point Park in Ponce Inlet; our dogs got covered in cockle burs there!).

I cannot recommend this house highly enough. I'm so glad we chose it over a condo on the beach, for the extra space, the fenced play area for the dogs, and the quiet laid-back neighborhood, which simply isn't available at the crowded beach resorts. Besides, it's only a two minute walk to the beach, which you can see from the front yard.

What would you say to a short 4-5 minute walk to sneak a peek at that big orange ball as it rises up over the salty ocean each morning? Or listening to the waves crashing on shore from your front porch rocker? How about a quick afternoon walk to a little shanty with to-die-for lobster bisque and outdoor seating? When 'real life' pops up, does an easy stroll to a Dollar General or a short drive to a nearby Walgreens sound convenient? Feel like staying in or grilling out one day: would a nearly-new Publix Supermarket do? Do you want, but rarely expect anymore, your vacation digs to be 'up to par' so you won't feel an urge to clean the second you walk in? Finally, would you appreciate hosts who anticipate your every need BEFORE you arrive and treat you like family (or better :) once you do?

If you checked 'YES' for any of these questions, then this adorable beach cottage is the place for you! We cannot say enough about the place or the people running it.

We stayed for a week in early December 2011, celebrating our 15th Wedding Anniversary. Upon arrival, lovely Christmas lights welcomed us 'home' after a very long drive. As soon as we opened our car doors, we could hear the ocean, its waves crashing against the sand. Pure HEAVEN for a gal who spent 30 years in FL! Approached the porch to find fabulous tile work and wicker rockers to 'sit a spell'.

Having stayed in other 'By Owner' vacation homes, we tend to hold our breath as we open a door the first time. No need here! The place was in wonderful order and just as the photos suggested (or better). Eliane has tried to anticipate your every need: towels, linens, dish soap/drainer, books, games, beach accessories, grill, and stocked kitchen to name a very few. Best of all, the place is clean, clean, clean! Familiar with the area in general, I was surprised by how many new little discoveries we made during our visit. I'm convinced it was due in great part to having a relaxing 'home base' that allowed us to unwind, recharge and 'live like a local'. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer.

Eliane & Chris are wonderful hosts who are clearly passionate about their family, their work, and their guests. We'd not hesitate to stay with them again and would recommend their little slice of paradise to both family & friends!

This home is very clean and comfortable. We really felt at home here with all of the comforts of home. Miles of beach within walking distance. Very close to Orlando, maybe an hour drive. We will definitely come back here next time we go to the Ormond Beach area.

My family stayed at this beach cottage in June and had an amazing time! This house is truly steps to the beach, plus it was close to shopping and restaurants which made it very convenient. We loved the backyard and entertained extended family there. The owners thought of everything from books and DVDs to beach chairs and sand toys. The house was clean and comfortable and we would definitely stay there again!
