Special Birthday Holiday

Three members of our foursome have "special" birthdays this year and with this in mind we chose to stay at this property aptly called "Gem of South Yarmouth". What a good choice this was! The house was very clean and spacious with all furnishings and fittings of a high standard and every amenity you could wish for. The property has easy access to many restaurants and also a good local supermarket. Apart from visiting many of the lovely places on Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, Princetown, Chatham etc, the men enjoyed playing golf on many of the courses in the area and us girls enjoyed a spot of shopping at Wrentham Outlet and Boston - we had come prepared with roomy cases! But whereever our daily travels took us we were always happy to return to the comfort of our holiday home. We all agreed this will certainly rate as one of our most enjoyable holidays and we would love to return in the not too distant future to pick up where we left off.

Just Like Home

Over many years, my husband and I have rented many homes. This home is truly the "Gem of South Yarmouth" and the best by far. When we walked in the door, we felt like we had come home. The house is spotless and very well equipped, even with some groceries. We brought our dogs, and two other couples. Having four bedrooms and two bathrooms was wonderful. The fact that the beds were made and towels, even soap and shampoo, were provided, only added to the amenities that were above and beyond what we expected. I truly believe Alex went to the ultimate extreme to make his guests comfortable. We plan on returning next year! Thank you, Alex and Valentina.

We simply loved this house. Alex & Viv are fabulous owners. (Feel like we know them!) When we got there, after a long travel day, we could just relax till the morning. There was coffee, tea, sweeteners, snacks, soap, towels, salt, pepper, shampoo, too many things to mention! Like staying in your own home, or a great hotel. Great amenities. In fact when we left, we "paid it forward" and left our unopened groceries for the next guests.
I found the beach a bit too far to walk to, but a very quick car ride put us there. It is a beautiful beach. We took a picnic, and the dog, and had the most relaxing day. Bedrooms are spacious, and comfortable. Fireplace a nice touch, and we had a lovely time sitting on the rear deck. I certainly hope we can return. Highly recommend.

Perfect Getaway

My three girlfriends and I spent a long weekend at this perfect getaway house. The house described is exactly what you get. The amenities were even more generous than expected. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen and bathrooms spotless. The walk to the beach took closer to 15 minutes at a leisurely pace, but it was well worth it. We were just a seven minute drive to Hyannis where we dined every evening. We stopped at Salty's along the way for a welcoming lunch. Can't think of one criticism. Thank you Alex.

What a lovely home! Everything was perfect and just as described! Location was great for the beach or miniature golfing! Every amenity was there, didn't lack a thing. We had such an awesome time. The deck was our favorite part, sitting out there day and night! Thank you so much for allowing us to come into your home!

As a family of 5 along with one set of grandparents, we found this home to be perfect to accomodate us all. The home itself is maintained well and the owners go that extra step to provide a special touch of comfort and welcome. The home was spacious enough for a busy 18 mth old toddler and it kept the interest of our 5 & 7 yr old boys as they spent hours playing Air Hockey in the evening. It was also a great location....beach not far and downtown Hyannis right down the road. This was our second experience dealing with the owners and I can't say enough good things about them. I would highly recommend this home for any family looking for an East Coast get away. We hope to stay in touch with them as I'm sure we will go back in a few years.

The best place to stay

As I sit and reflect how the week has been on our last night here, I wish for more time before we return to civilization. This is a wonderful home, feels just like your own. Extremely neat and clean on arrival and all the amenities a family could need. Great to be in walking distance to the beach as well as a quick walk to great places to catch a bite to eat or grap an early morning cup of coffee. It has taken a number of years to find the place we will call our summer rental but we have finally found it...hope to return next year.

Like having your own beach house

I stayed at this house for three nights with my friends and it was the perfect place. It felt like having our own place at the beach, the place was impeccably maintained and we found everything we needed. It was a nice surprise to find an air hockey table in the basement and many other little details that show that owners want you to spend great time there.
Location is pretty convenient, there are many supermarkets and restaurants around the area. Furthermore, there is also a mini-golf located within a walking distance from the house. The closest beach is pretty decent and a good place to picnic, reed a book or just take a relaxing walk.
Even before signing the rental agreement the owner was very kind and answered all our inquiries reasonably fast. Thanks Valentina and Alex, we definitely recommend this place!

Wonderful home, Great vacation!

We picked this house to meet with our grown up son. We were so pleased with this house! We felt right at home the moment we walked in. The house is well maintained, clean, spacious and very inviting. I loved the kitchen. It is well equipped and very clean, pots and pens are new and in a good shape (shining). The owners provide some condiments, so when my family wanted pancakes the floor, salt, sugar and olive oil were there. We went deep-sea fishing one day. It was so much fun; we did catch some fish and cooked it for lunch that day, and we ate it outside, on the deck.
We found it very helpful that owners provide these little brochures about the area’s events, dining, and places to see. Also, when we were booking the house they gave us suggestions about the area and activities and answered all our questions. It feels like owners really took the time and the effort to make this house a home - cozy bedrooms with comfy beds, beautiful china set for a special meal in the dining room, big screen TV in the living room, all the toiletries and towels, the bikes and the hammock. There wasn't anything that we disliked about this home. We really enjoyed our stay.
The ocean is just 5 minutes away and swimming was fantastic.
We will definitely come back.

We rented this house from 9/26/11 - 9/30/11. It was very clean and everything advertised was there. The location is great. Plenty of things are within a very short drive.The central A/C was fantastic for taking the humidity out of the air. It was very spacious, with an eat in kitchen, dining area, and living room/family room. The extras such as shampoo, toiletries and kitchen condiments were a very nice touch. We didn't use them, but there were even some bicycles and a cart to bring stuff to the beach. They really seemed to think of everything. We would definately consider another stay at this property or another one managed by the same people.
