Excellent stay in one of the most beautiful cities

My friend and I stayed 4 nights in late September in the Chiado 1 flat. Our host Mario gave us a warm welcome and explained the apartment and getting around in Lisboa. We felt at home immediately, enjoyed the spacious and nicely decorated rooms, esp. the modern equipped kitchen. The two bedrooms in the back of the house, facing a tiny courtyard (no cars), guarantee a really quiet sleep. The apartment is situated in a quiet side street with almost no traffic, and around the corner you will find a great variety of restaurants, cafés, shops and nightlife spots. Even walking down the streets or steps to the Baixa (and up again) takes only minutes. In case the way uphill seems to exhausting, you can also use the wonderful Elevador de Sta Justa. Public transport like the tram 28 and the metro are just down the street. It was a great stay in a very beautiful city - and we are already making plans to return soon and enjoy a longer time in this lovely apartment!
