    For our European Guests a Bank Transfer is required for the Deposit.
  • The Calendars of Availability on the Web-sites advertising 'Vista Mar' are not updated until the Deposit is received. Once the Deposit has been received an E-Mail notification will be sent with attached Journey Instructions and Maps.

We enjoyed our stay at Vista Mar: Well-equipped, especially kitchen and DVD collection, patio with a great view, good starting point for tours around the island and committed hosts. We arrived late in the evening and didn’t have to worry about what to eat for breakfast, because we found some important things in the fridge (Thank you!!!).

We can recommend staying at Vista Mar.

Petite villa très propre et très bien équipée ! Sans oublier le panier de bienvenue... Cadre très calme et agréable avec une vue absolument sublime. Couleurs, parfums et dépaysement sont au rendez vous ! Villa bien située mais la voiture reste indispensable pour visiter l'île. Activités diverses mais coup de coeur pour la ballade en catamaran pour voir les baleines et dauphins. Il ne faut bien sur pas oublier les randonnées au bord des levadas !!! Bref, on reviendra, c'est une certitude ! Merci aux propriétaires pour leur accueil,leur gentillesse et leurs conseils.

Wonderful Stay!

We had a really enjoyable stay at Vista Mar. A friendly welcome from Derek, Sylvia and Bill on arrival and Vista Mar was clean and comfortable. We particularly appreciated their 'Welcome Pack' in the fridge. It was lovely to sit on the patio in the warm sunshine and a real treat to pick avocados from the tree - delicious - as well as oranges for our fresh squeezed orange juice for breakfast! We love Calheta - the nearest beach and Marina and we had some lovely meals in the Onda Azul restaurant at the Calheta Beach Hotel. The villa is in a quiet location - with stunning views and just what we wanted for a really relaxing break. We will be back.....

Dear Derek, dear Sylivia,

thank you for our stay at Vista Mar. It is great place to stay for a family with little kids and of course without. The house in the quiet neighbourhood is very well equipped- we found everything we needed. The nearby beach in Calheta is good for a little swimm after a levada-walk and in the village there is a bank, a grocerie store, a playground and nice little bars. We hope we'll be back!

Second time around

This was our second holiday at" Vista Mar" and it was just as good as the first time, Once again it took a couple of days to unwind but with the help of the fresh air and the relaxing views of the Atlantic from the patio we soon chilled out. And of course the warm welcome from Sylvia ,Bill and Derek. Hiring a car at the airport was easy and an easy drive to Estreito da Calheta( which is well worth exploring) where you find "Vista mar", There is plenty of sight seeing to be done and for those who like walking then there are the Lavada's ,Then to finish the day off a swim in the sea at the beautiful sandy beaches in Vila Calheta which is only 5 mins. away by car, where you also find some bars and restaurants . For a small island there is plenty to see and do
